| The Interview--Sony cancels movie premier Without getting into politics bc I know that's not allowed here, what do you guys think about Sony backing down? This hacking scandal is giving this movie SO much publicity, and now that they have cancelled showing it, it makes me want to watch it even more! I don't think there would be any real threats for the actual theaters or the moviegoers, but I understand the theaters NOT wanting to show it bc of patrons that may feel unsafe with their children going to see Annie or whatever on Christmas. What do you guys think? Before this, for me it was a for sure Red Box movie. But now....I want to go see it in theaters.

| I think they're being extra cautious because of the movie theater shooting a few years ago. I don't really want to see the movie, I'd watch it if it were on but I'm not going to go see it or rent it. |

| While I do agree about the feeling of vulnerability in theaters bc of the shootings last year, I doubt that anyone from N. Korea will be doing anything of the sort if this film is shown. I didn't really want to see the movie before. But now bc of all of this, I want to see it.

| What I heard was a couple of the major movie theater chains were dropping the movie already because of the threat. Sony simply pulled it before the other theaters followed suit. I don't see it as Sony caving in to the threat. The threat took away the market, the theaters, the money! Sony's decision to pull it was strictly a financial decision. I wasn't going to see it. Still no interest, but, there are lots of people who would have enjoyed it and these pond scum internet N Korean hackers took that away from them. |

| So now we have foreign dictators instructing America on what we are allowed to see, hear, say, watch, do,..... It is rather amusing to me that when the American citizens are "attacked" and/or threatened, such as in the Boston Marathon Bombing, and other terrorist threats/stunts, "Oh we will NOT be intimidated by these terrorists, dont be afraid to go about your daily activities, you get on out there and do your runs, etc..... dont let these terrorists scare you because that is how they will get the upper hand in this country, etc, etc, etc, etc"......but OMG!! When it is the Hollywood Elite, all these outrageously wealthy individuals that have mansions with million dollar security systems, body guards, etc, people that are in reality sooooo out of touch with the reality of being confronted one on one with a terrorist....when the threats come down on THEM, OMG!!! THAT is a major threat and Hollywood and the elite there cancel openings, cancel interviews promoting the stupid movie, cancel showing the 42 million dollar movie, because, God forbid, one of THEM get a threat from some wild eyed mentally insignificant dictator on the other side of the world, well NOW we have a problem!!!!!!!! Ridiculous! How would America react if North Korea made a movie where POTUS was murdered?????? |

| On one hand, one single act of violence during the showing of this movie and the threat becomes a liability that wasn't taken seriously enough and all heck breaks loose. It wouldn't be that you are responsible for yourself in choosing to go to the move. If something happened, there would be huge financial implications because we were forewarned. On the other hand, caving to the threat IMO shows weakness on us as a nation and sets an example for just about anything foreign terrorists want to dictate as to how America should conduct itself. Either way..... scary.

| Spineless and unpatriotic though I know their risk assessment and liability lawyers are calling the shots, thinking down the road. If one idiot runs in with a pipe bomb to just one movie theater and throws it, panic ensues and everybody struggles out or worse, it goes off and hurts people, you know every person in that complex would sue Sony and maybe even the other movie producers running movies in that same complex, claiming damages to their business due to fear of bodily harm of anyone else ever attending a movie where "The Interview" was showing. Still, betcha in the old days when, no firm or business would have caved to our enemies and Americans would have deliberately gone to that movie, just to make a statement.

| I heard it suggested that Sony put that movie out on DVD and then drop millions and millions of them all over North Korea! Kind of like "propaganda fliers" that are distributed to the populace of deprived, controlled countries. Of course, those poor people have NO IDEA what in the world a DVD is or how it works, but at the very least, it would be a mess the N.Korean gvnmnt would have to go around and pick up! |

| Honestly I did not even want to see the movie until Sony pulled it from the theaters. Now I have this nagging desire to see it (will probably hate it but I am wanting to see it).

| The actual threat was that if a movie theater showed the film the North Koreans would retaliate 9/11 style and destroy the movie theater and the neighborhood where it was located. The movie theaters decided not to show the movie and without a venue to show the film Sony decided to pull it completely. Sony is damned if the do/don’t. I believe that anti American films are being made and we don’t see them because of censorship. Jack was approached by the guys at our local 7/11 as he works in casting and they asked him to play a part in a movie they wanted to shoot (Richard) and to find a blonde American actress. We asked to see the script. This is one of the scene’s below and they wanted the blonde to be naked no lines just naked. Needless to say Jack declined and I sent the email with its links to a friend of mine who works in counter terrorism. They could just be guys making a movie or it could have been a propaganda film. SCENE 13- STREET- NIGHT M.S- Kumara and Richard seated. The bucket of flowers and the guitar are near them. Richard You forgot your bucket of flowers didn’t you? Kumara A bomb exploded and a lot of kids have died. Richard Where? In Washington? or the White House? Kumara No, in my country Richard I thought it was in Iraq Kumara It’s exploding all over the world. It breaks into pieces. It separates. Never gets together again. Richard -(Loud) I like it, if the whole world explodes at once. Richard starts playing the guitar. Richard All people should be destroyed. They should all die. But, the world leaders should not die. They should get together And will create a new world. How beautiful that world would be!

| I think it sucks that a small backwater country has the power to hack into a large corp. It is very unfortunate that this happened because it has shown how vulnerable our country or other countries are to these radical thinkers. To me the only thing Sony could do was to cancel the release, the liabilities are too high, even if just one theater was attacked it would be a nightmare. I probably would not have seen the movie, but based on the threats I also would not have gone to see ANY movie that was being shown in a theater that was also playing the Interview. The risk was just too great to take a chance. I also think Sony and even more so our government was derelict to even make the movie, the ending they said involved the leader or South Korea getting his head blown off. While I am no fan of South Korea I think the movie was in poor taste and if the situation was reversed and it was Obama getting blown up, most of us in the US, even non Obama supporters, would be outraged. The state department was fully aware of the ending and gave Sony the OK, which once again makes me wonder about the leadership of our country, but I guess that is a whole other topic.
