Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Do you still send out Christmas/Holiday cards? I'm just curious how many people still do Christmas cards in this largely digital age. I've only done them maybe 2 out of the last 5 years, yikes . I always feel kinda guilty when I don't do them but it seems more and more people aren't doing them these days. I haven't done any yet this year, and I'm not sure I will bc I'm feeling very lazy indeed ! What about you...do you send them out?

| Yes, I do...but then I'm that kind of traditional gal!!!! A couple of years ago, I started getting 'gobsmacked' () when people stopped sending them to us....I truly thought I'd offended them...!!! I must admit, I do love a beautiful display of sparkly cards on our bay window (yes, even though the numbers are dwindling!!! )

| I do send out cards. I do the YT card exchange, and then I do close friends and family. I still have a lot of family who are not up on the digital age and they do enjoy getting a card from us. Some lucky animal loving friends/family even get two cards from us. A family photo card, and my YT card of Moka and Mylee. I think they like Moka and Mylee best!

| I have never sent out holiday cards. It does cross my mind every year but Im on the lazy boat lol and never pull together the time or energy to actually do it. I know it doesn't take much but I have a lot of family so I just do my usual phone calls and and some get a quick email. |

| If it was up to me I wouldn't send any cards out but my DH thinks we should. About 5 years ago I started a list of the people that send us cards and now have him talked into only sending cards to those that send one to us. At one time he was up to sending out about 100 cards - now I have him down to around 25. He was sending them to everyone we knew, including neighbors we see everyday. Call me a Scrooge but I don't think we need to send to everyone we have ever known in our lifetime. He also had to handwrite a note in every card and handwrite the address. Talked him into putting the names on the computer and printing labels. Once he tried it.....he liked it. Boy I do feel like a Scrooge after proof reading my post.

Bless your dear hubby's heart though, wanting to send them out to everyone + the world . I would faint if I had to send out 100 cards!

| I now only send cards to close family and friends that live out of state and out of country. I used to send them to everyone i know, and everyone that sent me a card. Now that $75-$100 postage fee goes to pay my winter utility bill.

| I send out cards to family, distant relatives and few neighbors plus my YT Family! I handwrite a little in each card and hand address them. I am always happy to do our card exchange as it really brightens up the holidays seeing all of your cards, too!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I use to but these past few years just decided not to. Last years YT HCE was the first time I sent cards in 3 yrs. I use to sent over 40 cards to neighbors who I knew would enjoy a card to brighten their day, family and close friends. Than it went to just family and close friends than to just close family and a few friends but I rarely got any in return which was a huge disappointment. So than they dwindled down to ok if you sent me one I'll send you one in return and that lasted for about 2 yrs til finally I though what the hell. Im done and quit sending them at all. Yep , I'm a Scrooge !! I do love getting then though .

| This is honestly the first year I have ever sent cards as it was all inspire by the yt holiday exchange I have a young family (oldest child is thirteen) and since having kids have 'intended' to send cards a few times and even bought some here and there. I hve also only ever gotten cards from my grandparents all of whom have passed away in the last five years. It has made me so amazingly happy to receive our Christmas cards this year- I am so pleased I just can't even express it- I want to send out tons more cards every year and never let this tradition die in our digitally focused age. I miss my grandmothers hand written letters more than I realized I guess and I adore having these reflections of the warm loving pieces of peoples lives glimmering like little rainbows of hope for humanity on my wall, lol my calender is that also, empty and replaced by my phones digital alarms and at my fingertips date reminder but the tradition of it, the transition it brings me through the year and the light of the pictures just really makes me happy. Of course I'm a book reader too and have a hard time focusing on the kindle app...so maybe it's just me but dang, I hope not.

| I do not send them and I hate when they are sent to me. I appreciate the thought, don't get me wrong, but I hate the obligation of etiquette which suggests that I should send a return card. I don't like feeling obliged to do anything and I am not sentimental in any way, therefore, I hate when people send me cards since they provoke a smile but get thrown directly into the trash. I'm also very much a minimalist so having a slew of cards in my house would not make me appreciative of the thought (which is so ugly of me, I know) but would make me cringe from clutter. Uh, I have portrayed myself in a very flattering light now, I'm sure.. LOL |

| When I was younger, I gave it a go for about a decade. Then went through about a decade of thinking it would be nice to start back up but never followed through other than buying cards. The last decade, I haven't given it much thought. My older, more traditional, relatives are dead and gone, they were the ones who appreciated it most. If I were to do Christmas cards again, I'd have to start in Sept to find everyone's current address! LOL |

| I do send out "dog" Christmas cards to everyone. I ordered 200 cards this year from Sam's. And, I don't feel like someone should be obliged to send one back. This tradition must come from my mom... Shoot, she is 90 and mostly blind, but still did them with my help. God love her, she signed all of them, even though she can't see.
