This one is called Vanessa Cruz but I think I have one more recorded in the folder. I'm fairly lost I've missed so many episodes.

You mean that was the series finale? Hope it got renewed for next year! This week's episode was an old one - I was so hoping it would elaborate on the Fulcrum but when I saw it was from last year, I just skipped it.

Jeanie! No, I didn't mean the season finale. It's still on. I just meant I was watching the same episode you were looking at on DVR.

Just finished watching Episode 7 Series 2 of Broadchurch. That whole cast of characters is so unbelievable - not one of them has even an ounce of self-restraint or seems very adept at doing anything but screwing up or lashing out. I've heard of character imperfections to enhance realism but this bunch is ridiculous.

:thumbup: Totally agree, Jeanie. Series 1 was sooooo watchable (same cast, on the whole) but that confusing, unbelievable, dis-jointed Series 2? Too many stories intertwined that nobody believes - or cares about...apparently Series 3 is being filmed at the moment - why?!!!?

I have American Crime on my dvr...all episodes so far are on it. I have to get myself caught up on many series and am so wanting to start watching this one to see what it is like. Do you like it?

The mysteries are so interesting you're willing to put up with those children in adult bodies to try to find out who killed the 2 Sandbrook girls and then who killed the boy. But the killer couldn't be the same person for all 3 could it? They can't all be pedophiles can they - just maybe 1/3 of them? I've never seen a group of more dysfunctional, messed-up, unfaithful people who seem to shout, scream and fight all the time they aren't making like rabbits on Viagra. Even Alec Hardy is a wreck. Did he and Claire have a thing, too? I didn't watch Season 1 so I'm trying to catch up on all the adultery and back-stabbing of friends and family most of them seem to relish. But I am so interested in the mysteries and will even try to watch Season 3 I think.

Started on Wolf Hall this morning and so far, it's draggy but so far holding my interest. If only I didn't know all the horrific outcomes of most or all of them, it might be more enjoyable. Anybody else sticking this series out?

Our newspapers had a field day on it - "Could they not afford to put the lights on"....and even getting 'very personal' about Hilary Mantel....:eek:

Hehe - guess they are trying to be realistic. It was dark without electricity and man-made light was a luxury back then. I cannot believe how people used to have to live in so much darkness!

Still, it's an interesting story about Henry, Wolsey, Cromwell, the Catherines, Boleyn. It's the little touches that help historical dramas along the way - the way Cromwell handles Tyndale's unbound, loose-leaf New Testament in English - surreptitiously delivered to him "packaged as something else", not able to know what he had in his hands -a Bible created for the common man who had some reading skills so he could read the Gospel in his own, understandable vernacular and help bring about such a huge revolution in the church and monarchy and change so many lives. Hope it doesn't stay this slow, though. :D

Yes, it was a little slow going. I ended up watching the first two episodes twice because I kept getting distracted doing stuff around the house while watching it. Then I realized I didn't know who was who, and was losing track of the characters, so watched it again. By episode three, I was into it.

Between Sally and you, you've re-invigorated me. I do want to watch if nothing more than it's keeping my interest for some reason. Those were unbelievably fascinating times and it's fun to imagine what it might have been like.

The horrors of DVR's and having 5 shows to be recorded at the same time. I was watching the last two minutes of "The Blacklist" and my DVR automatically tuned to another channel to record another show before tonight's "Leonard Caul" episode finished and I couldn't cancel the retune in time to get in on the end! Red was explaining to Lizzie that he'd fired Tom after he'd learned they were intimate and how much danger she was in and about to tell her more and boom! - my TV changed the channel! Can anybody tell me what happened during that last minute??????

Jeanie, I haven't watched it yet and haven't read anything you wrote about the episode as soon as I saw it was about the Blacklist. I did however saw a question mark about what happened at the end...after I see it, I will let you know what happened.

I am like you as far as having so many things on DVR...too many show on all kinds of channels it seems. :)

Oh, thank you so much. I couldn't believe I didn't think about the 9:01 PM ending time causing a problem with all the shows I had scheduled for 9:00 PM recordings but I didn't and just as Red was talking to Lizzie and getting into what seemed to be meaty stuff about her childhood, etc., it just went off onto another channel and I couldn't cancel that program and tune back fast enough to catch it. I just blanked on what channel Blacklist had been on. So I tuned to ABC first and then to remembered it was on NBC. By the time I tuned back there, long gone. At least we've now seen the Fulcrum but I'm not much smarter about it than I was before! lol.

Yeah, never knew I had such a big appetite for things to record until I got a DVR that could record so many shows!

Holy crap!!! Banshee.... *** **** this is a good show. Best I've seen since Breaking Bad and I don't say that about any show lol. A lot dirtier and gritter (lots of fight scenes, sex scenes, etc but it doesn't overpower the whole show... it's not for 'shock value' or anything), but great storyline, addictive. I was hooked after episode 2 of season 1.

i didn't read through all of this but I must say I liked many that you did.

My favorite series was Mad Men, it was wonderful. Also Doc Martin Oh yes Brister, how could I ever forget 'Breaking Bad' absolutely brilliant.

I have been Dvr'ing American Crime from the beginning and watched the first episode last night. 11 more episodes to go! Glad to hear you like it since I am just getting into it! :)
