Netflix has a lot of my favs (Dexter, Breaking Bad, etc). I watch HBO shows on HBOGo (an app, you can watch on ipad, AppleTV, xbox, etc) and you just sign in with your TV provider. Hulu usually has newer shows, that's like $6 a month or something like that. You can see Showtime shows OnDemand if you have it.

I watch most of my shows on Netflix....I love catching up on older shows cause you don't have to wait for new episodes each week. I hate cliffhangers.

I pay $8.99 per month for streaming in HD, not a bad price.

I still pay $7.99/month -- not sure if it's because I've had it for a while or what, but I just do the streaming one. The amount that I use it, it's totally worth it.

Netflix is $8 for one screen in standard def, $9 for 2 screens and HD, and $12 for 4 screens in HD and ultra HD.

I'm late on this thread. I really liked the true detective series. Wondering why this next season hasn't been on yet.

oh yes True Detective was fabulous! Started a bit slow but wow, really loved the final few eps. Next season is coming soon I believe. I know Vince Vaughn is going to be in next season - all new actors and new story.

Why does everything have to be so dark and gritty? Am I the only one yearning to see something a little lighter, maybe with pretty people living in a pretty setting? :D

I do like Gotham, although I think the writing could be better. It's a little disjointed, redundant.

I watched Nashville and enjoyed it. Sort of light, soap operish.

Karan, I started watching Forever on your recommendation and liked the first episode.

I don't have the patience to wait each week for a new episode, so I usually wait until a season is over to watch anything. :p

For those of you that have NetFlex be sure to watch 'House of Cards' you will not be disappointed. Don't let the fact that there is a political theme, It's fantastic.

Yes Ann, I have heard 'The Killing' is wonderful but have yet to see it.

I think there are two sides of me, I love The Voice and I loved Breaking Bad.:)

Yeah it's a great show. Shows that some people do still care about family values, morals, without coming off too cheesy or soap opera-ish. Very realistic, and of course deals with "bad" things... like breast cancer, teenage pregnancy, Asperger’s Syndrome, home schooling, drug problems, bad relationships, struggling marriages at every stage, absent fathers, sibling rivalry, adoption, bullying, and more and more... but like I said it doesn't come across as TOO MUCH or too soap operay, just very realisitic in the way the dialouge is portrayed and often awkward (like real life lol). And yep, everyone in the show is imperfect in their own way... good people trying to do the right thing. I just think it was a breath of fresh air for me when I got too down or depressed to be watching some of the 'darker' shows. It often made me cry but more out of heart warming touching happy tears.

All the actors were great, and little Max was one of the best as a kid with aspergers.

Just got a call tonight that 'Better Call Sal' is going to be on tonight. On AMC-Time Warner. I think she said 10 pm, I was so excited, I didn't write anything down.

The same writer that wrote Breaking Bad. She said it's a couple episodes before his name becomes Sal.

My Son is calling, bet for the same thing.:)

I did......I would have not only slapped the brat, I would have slapped that smothering mother of his....everytime the kid misbehaves, her solution is whip out a tit and feed the kid.....brilliant. I may watch it again next week to see where this is going....but I am real intolerant of spoiled brats and watching stuff like that infuriates me, when I am supposed to be relaxing, watching great TV shows!

I am loving "Blacklist" and now, the new show "Allegiance".....GREAT spy action dramas, with all kinds of twists and turns and action!

They showed previews for the show for a while and concentrated just on slapping the child. The parents shouldn't have a child.

I am watching Mr. Selfridge, which was suggested on another thread about Downton Abbey and The Paradise. I am enjoying it. Had no idea that Selfridge was from Chicago and worked for Marshall Field's, the famed Chicago department store.

I watch Selfridge too and really liked it!! He was pretty industrious and amazing. His biography is pretty fascinating too...when he died he was pretty much broke, which is shocking given how wealthy he was at some point.

It is shocking that he lost his fortune. His wife Rose has an equally interesting biography. She was from the Buckingham family of Chicago, an artist and land developer. She helped build some affordable housing for artists. Very much ahead of her time.

I need to find the previous thread in which you and others discussed Jeremy Piven's portrayal of Selfridge. He is good, but a bit one note. Not as inspiring as the Moray character who owns the store in The Paradise.

Yes, that's it exactly -- he's too one-note in his portrayal, making him seem very flat! He does get a little better, sort of, later one...but still, one note for the most part. Whereas Moray seems more thoughtful / introspective / intense.

How interesting about Rose - had no idea she did housing like that...what a smart woman.
