Forgot to mention I've really been enjoying 'Parenthood'. It was one of those shows I started watching a while back, liked it, but not enough to stay hooked or watch weekly, ya know... but anyway, picked up again where I left off and am now in season 4. I read they just started their sixth and final season so I'm trying not to go too fast as I don't want to wait week after week but I'm quite liking it. It's very... 'real'. Lots of awkward dialogue much like real life is, I love the family dynamic. It's not an 'addictive' show per say in like OMGINEEDTOWATCHTHENEXTONENOW but... I'm really liking it and it's been holding my attention! Yorkiemom1, I think you may like it. |
OH and I forgot THE KNICK. on Cinemax. Awesome show if you're into real medical stuff. So cool. A hospital in NY in the 1930's. Amazing anyone survived back then lol. |

Did Two broke Girls get cancelled? I liked that show. Bf said I was like Max and yeah I'm loud like that. I feel bad for the half black guy on that show bc he was on "Don't Trust the B in Apt 23" and that show was funny as hell and it got cancelled too. The main girl was Jesse's gf from Breaking Bad. Kristen Ritter. I like her. She's on Burton's new movie Big Eyes, I hope it's good. |

Ok Gotham is getting better, and like I said, the guy who plays Penguin is perfectly cast, which I said from the from the first episode. I've also been watching Sleepy Hollow. Watched it at first bc I was stuck in a hotel and that was the only thing on. The guy that plays Crane is so handsome. Don't tell bf. LOL It's a totally watchable show. |
I heard the first ep of TWD was awesome so I'll probably watch it on Demand and see if I get into this season more than last. |
1 Attachment(s) Bumping this!!! Because I am finished Dexter now and am so sad. Obsessed with the series and wish it would've ended different. It did get really dumb during the last season, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. And the reason I watched Dexter was because I had watched Michael C Hall in Six Feet Under. I have to say I have NEVER been affected by a show like I have SFU before. Older HBO show and I am very clearly late to the game but wow... sooo powerful, never seen such raw real emotion from actors before, and dealing with death and grief, yes it could get depressing at times but damn it was just SO real and awesome. So add Dexter and Six Feet Under to my favorites list. Just got to see Michael C Hall on Broadway too, SO glad I discovered these 2 shows in the past few months otherwise I would have never even gotten to know this freaking amazing actor. |
I'm enjoying the show "Forever". I know the story line is pretty unbelievable, but I adore the lead actor Ioan Gruffudd! Anyone else watching it? |
I'm kinda obcessed with Reign right now, it's about Mary Queen of Scots, I'm sure it's like 1% historically accurate, but it's a good show. It's just interesting and very pretty, I like the clothes and hair styles. I've also started Dr Who, my BFF convinced me. So far I like it but the first season is very campy. The Librarians is very good too. I'm trying to get my family to watch Dexter, maybe next month when we drop cable. |
I watch Reign and Forever, too. Chicago Fire and PD. |

With regard to your pic w/Michael - SHUT UP!! Just,!! I LOVED watching Dexter and I agree with you about the ending being so disappointing and weird but the series, over all, was amazing. I actually mourned when it was over..I was like, uh, so what do I do with my life now..ha. I watch Vikings, Boardwalk Empire and Penny Dreadful. They still don't fill the the Dexter gap, though! |

The two brothers (one being Peter Krause from Parenthood, other being Michael C Hall) run a funeral home. But it's about so much more than that. There is not a single bad actor on the show, IMO. The family is probably one of the most "real" ever portrayed on TV. The show can be quirky and kind of odd sometimes (the first ep has a few 'infomercials' that are funny but kind of ), and it can defintiely be graphic and explicit. But not for shock value, again, it's just... very real. It's different, at times funny, at times sad, and basically any human emotion that is possible. Michael C. Hall plays a gay man and is in one of the realest gay relationships I have seen portrayed on television. I actually think it could open people eyes that are maybe opposed or don't understand. I literally was BAWLING MY EYES out by myself in bed at like 2am watching the finale. Try not to google too much, don't see spoilers. One of the best finales on television besides Breaking Bad IMO. |

Can't recall if I mentioned this already....but if anyone hasn't yet seen The Killing - OMG -- MUST see it!! It's so interesting, intense, dark/moody. |
