I also love RH. I'm not seeing the drafting table you're talking about, but my SIL picked one up at World Market that is almost if not identical to one in RH for a fraction of the price. She always checks World Market for the same (or closely similar) items as RH. |

My bar stools are from there, and I love their industrial style. I would *love* this as my studio table: Galvin Cafeteria Table | World Market |

I really love that table. A couple of years ago I made my dd's room into my studio/scrapbooking room. Had I seen this, I would have had to have it. Of course, this is why I have such a hard time making decisions. After I do something, I see something I like better. LOL Quote:

2 Attachment(s) Here are some pictures of the color kitchen sinks, I want to note I do NOT have one but you can bet I am getting one in my next house. I do not care if it is in the laundry room. |

Priscilla, I share your lament that nothing produced today matches the quality of furniture produced decades ago. I often wonder if I had an unlimited budget, where would I shop? Quote:

It's funny how we have these preconceived ides of the people we "meet" on a forum based just on their typing style. I would have pegged Ann as being traditional and Priscilla as a contemporary person as far as their taste in home decor..... I was way off.....Ann you seem to like industrial decor and Priscilla like antiques. :) My taste in decor has changed as time goes by. As of now I would consider myself a blend of traditional with a splash of vintage and a touch of old world. Yet, I don't like a perfectly placed , everything in it's place, kind of room. I do tend to like a comfy, cozy room with a touch of playfulness. If anyone would like to see my boards to get an idea of my likes this is my Pinterest boards....BJ Rbsr on Pinterest |
Ain't that the truth! I think bc of my age, most people that work in furniture stores will steer us towards more contemporary items. Not my thing at all! Bf and I used to be into mid century modern before Ikea went and ruined it all. LOL There's a lot of that mid century stuff available here in Vegas, but not what we are looking for anymore. But we have been really lucky with the antiques! In addition to the Victorian stuff we also like Asian antiques, esp from Thailand, Cambodia, and other Southeast Asian countries. I'm Chinese so not really into that, reminds me of when I was a kid going to fancy Chinese banquets for family reunions and that look doesn't really do it for me. ETA: Oooh I just checked your Pins. I like a lot of the stuff you have there. Bf really likes Old World stuff too. |
