| I have been smoke free for 2 weeks. I am using the patches but still have awful cravings. I have been extreamly stressed out and on edge, it makes it so hard. I keep thinking that I should just go back to smoking untill this passes, then it passes and something else comes up and then I realize that it's just an excuse to smoke. I have a pack, unopened. I am waiting for a call, one of those calls that you never want to get, and for my sanity, if the person tells me what I think they are going to say, then I will need to smoke, probably the whole pack in one sitting..... Then I will probably be so sick from smoking the whole pack in one sitting and sick from the news on the other end of the line, that I will never smoke again....

| Bump Bump I know this thread is a little outdated but I thought why not just bump it up with my news instead of starting a whold new thread on this subject>> The I quit smoking.. which this topic has come & gone quite a bit.. But I just have to share my news that I really did it! I quit on July 2nd and have been clean ever since! Im actually very proud of myself this time because I have been tough on myself and I must say It was hard the first three days and I am finding it pretty easy now to just stay tough and on top of it! I recently had my car detailed to eliminate the smell of smoke, so that investment will also keep me on track.. besides has anyone seen the price of ciggs in Washington? not only was I killing my self, I was paying money to do it? anyway I have been keeping a quit monitor on my desktop and it shows your progress if anyone is interested in a quit monitor you can download it from http://www.dedicateddesigns.com/qk/ and this is how that stats show on your desktop. well thats my news and if anyone would like support please don't hesitate... I could also use your support.. thanks I have been quit for 1 Week, 1 Day, 20 hours, 42 minutes and 23 seconds (8 days). I have saved $32.39 by not smoking 150 cigarettes. I have saved 12 hours and 30 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 7/2/2006 7:00 PM Last edited by jbarile; 07-11-2006 at 02:59 PM. |

I've never smoked, but have lived around smokers in the past.
