I found this. Diets and Calories: Eat Water Low Calorie Slim Noodles, Pasta, Rice Review I wonder if it's the same as the shirataki noodles which are made from yams. Low fat/carb "noodles". I've tried the shirataki and I felt they were great for noodle salads but not for noodle soups. I wonder if the other kind is better. I've never seen them before. |

I ignore everyone at the gym. I go to workout and leave asap. I have a treadmill here at home, but I never stay on it long enough before I am side tracked and stop. I get more out of going to the gym. But I do know the personalities you are talking about. I just look straight and focus on what I am there for. I had a personal trainer walk up to me the other day to ask me if I felt I was getting the most out of my workout. I hate that. I was like... leave me alone! ugg. |
P, your pinterest pins made me soooo hungry last night for Asian food LOL. Need some healthy stirfry recipes |
It's so hard to find healthy and low fat that I like so I make a lot of salads and add chicken and you hit on it Stirfry, is so good. I'm so sick of fish but still have it once a week. Good for you all, you're doing a great job. I am going to look for those noodles. |
Skipping the gym today because I have a Zumba date with my friend at 8 tonight. I've been feenin salt bad today! ugg. maybe I'll juice up some carrots and tomatoes to quench that craving. lol |
What are some "diet friendly" alcoholic drinks? |

Then the "hot" mommas that wear skimpy clothes and don't really work out, and they stretch in front of people to show off or to get people's attention. I wish i could ignore them like you. They bother me so much I have not set foot in a gym in years. |

I haven't tried to "noodles" yet in a stir fry. I liked them best as a cold noodle salad like I said, but I know most people are freezing right now and that probably isn't so appealing right now. Quote:
Or there's the Bacardi and Diet coke, but we all know diet drinks with fake sweeteners are no good. Once I was at a bar and ordered a Bacardi and Diet and the bartender says to me "Oh on a diet huh?" I was so mad. |
I use to drink Bacardi and diet coke all the time. I've had bartenders say that to me too. lol It's pretty obvious you are if you are drinking that because it isn't the best tasting mixture. |
I've heard of this tip before to eat with chopsticks whenever possible. Most people aren't chopstick masters so it makes you slow down to eat. I'm actually very nimble with chopsticks so I can't say if this works or not. But what I have been trying to do is not shovel more food in my mouth if I'm still chewing on my current mouthful! I never realized i was doing this! As soon as I put food in my mouth I would chew maybe 3 times and then get more food and put in my mouth, so i was swallowing food that wasn't even properly chewed. This has forced to me slow down a lot. The slower you eat, the more full you will feel with less food. I'm also cutting down on my use of hot sauce big time. Tons of salt! |

Yes I know exactly the people you are talking about at the gym. I just pretend they don't exist. |

I used to be able to use chopsticks in my left hand. Haven't tried that in a long time! PS. Are you ladies drinking enough water?! |

But there is good news. My kinda New Years resolution was to bring lunch from home everyday. No more junk food (fast food) lunches at work anymore. At least I'm not eating junky food anymore and I try to cut bad things from what I cook at home. Leaner meats, less salt, I try to add more veggies, etc etc etc. |
I know salt is important because it can retain water, etc.. But years back I got really into shape. I had a nice size body and looked good. I never looked at salt. My main focus was working out, and checking the fat, calories and fiber in everything I ate. And I ate a lot of fruit and veggies. I didn't even count them. I ate them as I pleased. Maybe now that I am older it wouldn't work out the same, idk. |
I created a healthy snack (or dessert). a scoop or two of plain greek yogurt, 4 or 5 black berries and top it with a little honey. SOOO GOODD!!! And if you want to make it extra yummy, add a small scoop (like a teaspoon) of peanut butter. Good Shizzzzz! :) |

There is this sprouted grain cereal I sometimes buy at Sprouts. I'm sure you could also. Find at Trader joes or Whole foods. It's Ezekiel something and you can use it in place of a granola topping if you want that crunch. It's supposed to be cereal you eat w milk. Bf initially was the one who bought it but said it was nastyw milk. It's really good. On Greek yogurt! |
hope it is not to late to join in the group. I am going to give the Dr Oz plan a try, it's very restrictive but has a lot of principles you gals have been talking about; Low glycemic veggies, gluten free, brown rice for fiber, no sugar, no diet drinks, smoothie for breakfast and so forth. He wants you to have an unflavored greek yogurt each day, which I hate but Priscilla I am going to give it a try since you almost have me convinced it's good, but then LOL I will take that with a grain of salt since your taste buds seem to like the tart fermented type of foods:D The Dr Oz plan promises fast weight loss, so it better deliver considering all I have to give up:D For the person who said no money for the gym, do you have a Planet Fitness near you, they seem to be all over the area I live in, they are just $10 a month and $10 to join and are open 24/7 no Zumba though. Also they are supposed to be a no meathead gym and LOL have this Lunk alarm that is wrung if someone big and bulky starts showing off or dropping weights. Exercise Clothes, I love the dance skin brand that Wallmart sells, there are two types of long black workout pants that you can wear to the grocery store as well as Zumba. Kohls has tons of gym shoes, good sales and great coupons if you have their credit card. I have a wide foot and they have a lot of wide foot choices as well Carmen with all you have given up over the last few months I am surprised the pounds have not melted off you, have you had a thyroid test lately, lots of woman have sluggish thyroids that slow their weight loss down, it runs in my family but I don't have the problem, so LOL can not use that as one of my excuses. oh well hopefully you guys can help keep me motivated. |

Add a squeeze of lemon to some ice water. For me it makes drinking water much easier. I drink a lot more of it that way. |
