Yorkie Haven Close but Not Close Enough Yorkie Haven is in grasping distance of a $1,000.00 donation. To put them over the top they REALLY need our help to do it, and we need to do it now. For those of you that don't know, even though YH is headquartered in TX they have rescue dogs throughout our country. For you newer members Lady Jane (Linda) the founder of Yorkie Haven is a long time valued member here. She is one of the largest contributors in our Sick and Injured Forum. Through out the years she has spent hours and hours posting information, answering questions, researching, and consulting with vets to help members in need. I often think she knows more than some vets do about the various heath issues that our yorkies may have. Please join me in thanking her for her contribution to YT by taking a moment to vote for Yorkie Haven. Voting is over on the 19th of Oct and you can vote each day and on each of your computers or smart phones. We do have a special section for contests but I believe this one is a bit more important than one of our dog's pictures winning a free bag of dog food. YHR and Lady Jane have been a mainstay on Yorkie Talk since I joined. She is an amazing woman with a huge heart to do the things she does. YH is a little more than half a percent out of first place for the state of TX so with our help there is a good chance they could pull ahead. To see the standings after you vote, look along the bar towards the top of the page, and click the tab that says current standings, then click 2013 US and then select TX. you will see a list of rescue groups with a bar next to each name, hover your mouse over the bar and you will see the percent each group has of the votes. Third place has really no chance of catching up. |

this is so exciting it's like election night I keep checking the standings and we are moving ahead. I think the big key is to make sure that everyone that has voted keeps voting each day, I know it is so easy to forgot. |
