2 cups whatever flour you want to use! I mix it up.
1 tbsp baking powder
Aprox 1/3 cup Smart Balance Buttery Spread (It's the one in the tub, not the squeeze one)
3/4 cup FAT FREE milk

Herbs, spices, parmesan, poppy seeds, whatever you want!

Mix flour and baking powder (and if you are using herbs, spices whatever, mix them in too).
Use pastry cutter or fork and cut Smart Balance into flour until blended.
Make a well in the center of the flour mix, add milk, stir with fork until evenly blended. Don't overmix so biscuits will be tender.

Roll out and cut if you want to. I never do, I put a couple tbsps in my hand, gently roll in a ball and flatten slightly. Use leftover milk droplets from your measuring cup to smear on top of biscuits. Place on (non fat) pam-sprayed cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until tops are slightly brown. Serve with Smart Squeeze or any other low fat spread!

Well HOORAY!!!! I know you had some health issues for awhile, and you needed to concentrate on that before you could dedicate yourself to healthy eating! I am so happy to hear that you are back on track, and not only are you involved in exercise, but that your precious little Mini Girl is right there with you!! I can't imagine her being left behind, little sweet thing that she is!!

Congrats on the four pounds gone, my friend!! That is COMPLETELY AWESOME!!

Jeeeeeez! I dunno what happened! I stopped getting email updates on this thread.


Good news! I'm still steadily losing weight (2lbs last week) and I've started excercising again. It was hard for awhile because we had a TON of rain here in San Francisco, my county was declared a disaster zone. All of my excercise is outdoors, but my soon-to-be mother in-law has a treadmill which I've started to use and the weather is clearing up, good things ahead!

O.K. I"m here..I guess I should start by telling my height weight and where my problem areas are and my goal.
I"m 5'9 and I weigh 155 lbs maybe a little more. For the build of my body that is alot. I"m tall but my frame is more petite so I have been guessed at weighing alot higher because i carry the majority of my weight in my tummy. I look like i'm pregnant. I've also started putting it on in the hip area as well as the top part of my legs. My goal is to lose 25 pounds in fat but hopefully gain some of that back in muscle. I don't want to be muscular just fit. So I'm coming to you all at the suggestion to Jaspermom for help. I haven't felt good about myself in a long time. I can't tell where my boobs end and my belly starts and i'm tired of that. So will you help me?

me too, I think I need to join this thread as well. I am way over my ideal weight, way over... but that is why i need this to help change my life before my kids, fur and skin lose their mommy.

Welcome to both you and Cindy! The way to get started is to begin from the beginning of this thread and start reading. There is a lot of excellent info here! PM Kathy (Jkat) and she can mail you a disk of the pertinent information so you don't have to read through the blaa blaa blaa parts, lol, tho some of the blaa is really FUN! and FUNNY!

Kathy was also keeping statistics last I knew. Is that still happening? If you aren't keeping group stats, then you can keep your own individual stats by weighing yourself every week and recording your own losses. If you would like to brag about them, we would LOVE to hear it!!

I'll let JKat chime in and tell us what the status of the club is these days!

Persistence is the key! You really have to stick with this to make it work. It's not a quick loss diet, it's a change of eating habits for LIFE!

I am really excited by the renewed interest in this thread due to the many new folks that have come on to YT lately! It really is a great thing to change your eating lifestyle to one for your health! Your body will LOVE you for it!!
