YT 2000 Club Member | We have been married 35 years and our first child arrived 1 1/2 years into our marriage. We wanted kids right away! While pregnant, I had a panic attach one night........I was petrified of the responsibility of a human being! I got over it quickly as we had 4 children! 2, 4 & 8 years apart. The last was an oops! Lol......go for it if you are financially & emotionally ready!

| We have been married for almost 5 years and still haven't decided. I think it's all up to you! I want to have my masters completed and almost have the house paid off before we think about it

| We've been together 25 years and decided to just have the 4 legged, furry kind. Dh & I both have siblings who produced offspring, so the pressure was off!

| I made myself a promise when I was young... I would never be one of those stupid girls that met a guy moved in with him without a ring and would OMG NEVER have a baby out of wedlock... Soooo with that being said I have been with my boyfriend for 8 years lived together 7 years 10 months and our daughter is suppose to be here in Sept I was told 10 years ago I could not have children for medical reasons so this little one is a complete surprise.

| thats such an important decision. I respect you for that! furry babies are perfect! Its crucial to agree on such an important decision of course. I bet you have a great life spoiling your doggies and yourself..I am one with a massive maternal instinct which is kicking in so hard lately . but i do sometimes think life must. be so peaceful without kids too...such a massive responsibility and so many worries out of the way right? thanks for sharing! |

| I think it depends, most couples start trying after the first year but you have to be ready, it is a BIG change. Communication is key, whatever works for you guys. Me and my fiancé have already discussed starting the process of adopting as soon as we are married and move into a bigger place- my need for a child clock is ticking super loud, I may just get some more yorkies instead
