I think it depends, most couples start trying after the first year but you have to be ready, it is a BIG change. Communication is key, whatever works for you guys. Me and my fiancé have already discussed starting the process of adopting as soon as we are married and move into a bigger place- my need for a child clock is ticking super loud, I may just get some more yorkies instead
