The different air dates are rediculous! Game of thrones is shown in uk and usa at the same time, so i dont see why they cant do it with downton. It makes it so people have to avoid media spoilers if they haven't even had the opportunity to see it yet. I record alot during work hours and then have to avoid media and social networks so the shows arent spoiled, especially with voting shows like BB, CBB, and Strictly.

To anyone with Acorn TV, could I ask a question? I'm new at this and not savvy at all about what's available. If I don't have a Roku box, is there any way I can watch Acorn TV on my TV instead of my computer. I don't enjoy watching programs on the computer - too small and no good sound. My blu-ray player has internet access and Roku is one of the viewing services listed but do they show Acorn programming through that service or just through the box access?

Or is there another way to get some of the British programming through Netflix or Hulu, etc.?

I don't know what acorn tv is, but if you're watching it on your computer, you should just be able to hook your puter up to your tv via a HDMI cord.

I have a dedicated laptop hooked up to my big screen tv all the time (which is also hooked up to my home theatre stereo system) so when I'm watching my programs, its on a 60 inch with surround sound. In my tiny home, it's like being in a cinema!

Acorn TV streams selected British TV programming. My laptop is way across the room from my big-screen, home theater system and entertainment tower and besides, wouldn't I have to go over to the second laptop hooked up to the TV to choose what I wanted to stream and start it from there? If so, that seems like a lot of inconvenience but then I'm new at this. Maybe you can access the TV laptop and work it through your main laptop or computer?

Still I wonder if I would have full Acorn TV programming through the Roku service accessible through my blu-ray internet streaming programming choices or if full Acorn content is just accessible through one of their boxes or streaming sticks. And I've been to the Roku website so often my eyes are crossed and can't find out the answer.

Oh no. I have noticed this season has a lot going on and it seems like they are trying to tie up loose ends. I will miss it.

Yea, me, too. It's been draggy this past 2 years, especially this one, and had lost its bloom but dang, I just hate to see it go in another few episodes.

In North Texas, we're just now watching what apparently was viewed last fall/winter in the U.K., so I imagine we won't get to see the final season until it begins showing on our PBS station next January. Wonder who Mary will wind up with?

Thank goodness! I just can't see this ending yet. I wonder if Edith will get Marigold back? Will Branson leave with little Sybbie? The suspense is killing me.
