Don't know. Guess they just wrote her out and put that Thomas in the place she used to share with him. Ugh! What a crumb he is, sneaking around trying to dig up dirt on everyone - dirt he can use to get ahead somehow.

O'Brien's character snuck out during the wee hours of the night in the first episode of this season. She went to work with that Scottish relative of the Crawley's (the family they were staying with right before Mathew died.) Was that Rose's mother? In "real life" the actress just wanted to move on from the character and series.

I STILL can't believe The Good Wife and Will!!! Hadn't heard any of the scoop or anything when I watched it an hour later after the show ran on TV!!! How dare they do this to us!!!!!!! Still mad.

I finally just got caught up on DA. It took me awhile and I agree with everyone that the last one of the season was not anything out of the ordinary. I didn't even want to read this thread until I watched all of the shows.

No, i've not seen it. How are the recipes? Fancy food or plain faire?

I'm not much of a cook, but I made scones the other day. I was watching Escape to the Country reruns and they were in Devon eating scones, so i got a taste for them. Funny how seeing food on tv sets the taste buds going. After watchjng Four in a Bed, i'm always gagging for a Full English

I haven't seen it either - but Julian Fellowes niece was on TV this morning (she's this book's author, apparently it took her 3+ years to write) and I thought "Aha! My fellow YT-ers will like this"....!!!!!

Looking at that website, it looks like stews, marmalades, Christmas puds etc....normal, everyday stuff....

I love Escape to the Country, 4 in a Bed, Come Dine With Me....and especially Masterchef all those programmes I have to make food to eat while they're on - maybe it's a British (ish!!!) thing!

I've not seen Masterchef, but I just love the other three shows you mentioned. They, along with Grand Designs, are always my go-to shows when nothing else is on.

Come dine with me, always gets me thinking I can cook. I just love how it's regular people cooking in their regular little kitchens. Makes me think I can whip up an amazing starter, main and pudding...of course I never do, but I FEEL like I could if I tried!
