Well I got lots of presents and everything that I ordered online came in on time, so everything was fine.
This seems to be some kind of miracle to me, because I had NO seizures for Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day! I am so happy.
I wasn't sure what my husband was getting me for Christmas this year because I didn't want anything but to be healthy. I'm crying while I'm writing this. This past summer after a seizure I was very swollen and got my rings off except my wedding ring. Well my husband gave me a very small package to open. It was an eternity band with 18 diamonds!! OMG I cried to hard. He said ,"Don't ever worry about us not being together, this is to replace your wedding band. It's for eternity. We are for eternity. I will always love you in sickness and in health."
I still can't believe it. The ring of course is beautiful, but the meaning behind it was the most beautiful thing!!
I am the most blessed woman in the world to have been with my high school sweetheart for almost 20 years now.
Michele

What a beautiful gift! I am so emotional right now that I am crying for you. Sounds like you have a wonderful, loving and supprotive hubby! I am so glad that you felt that inner peace within you, such a beautiful thing! And how romantinc of him to give you that ring. Just beautiful!

Well, after an emotional year, my dad actually got a visit from my brother and his daughter! My father has not seen either of them in over 2 years! (Family issues as I am sure many of us have) For , me that was one of my prayers answered. Oneof the best gifts! Just for my Dad to spend time with his son and granddaughter! Then, I too received a phone call from my brother! It was great! 1st time I have talked to him in over a year or so. So a couple of my prayers were answered this Christmas! I guess its a start!

But on a lighter note! I think my hubby knew it has been hard for me with all that going on, so he decided to spoil me a bit!!
Nothing wrong with that, is there!! Hahah
So he got me, from Luigi and Brasco, a new Coach keychain that opens and has a pic of each of the dogs in it!!! That made me laugh and cry!!!
He bought me the Coach shoes I have been eyeing for awhile now too! I got a pair of white leather Coach gloves and a Leather Coach purse to match!! And a Coach watch that I loved!!!! And a bunch of Yorkie stuff! A calender, an planner and a frame with all 4 of us in it!!!! He was sooo good to me!!! Definatley cheered me up!!!!

And Kristy--I am soo sorry you had a crappy Christmas!!! You can come llive with us and we will spoil you!!!!! Ray's family spoiled me too!!!!! So we will adopt you and make you Christmas next year, extra special!!!!

I had a very good Christmas, I am a bit on the spoiled side. I got a new digital camera, it takes awesome pics I will have to sit down at home and get some on here, I got 2 yorkie calenders, that new silicone bakeware, 3 pairs of shoes, new mattress set, perfume, lotion and shower stuff, book shelf, clock, febreze scent stories, picture frames, cook book, money, red lobster gift certificate, flannel sheet set, comforter set, scarf and mittens, 2 fleece blankets, pajamas, clothes, and a bunch of candles. And I also got both of my yorkies for an early Christmas present from my husband so he didnt buy me anything to open on Christmas.

I am so glad that it is all over I was so busy over the weekend.

In no way did I take that as bragging. Sweetie, its great to post all the wonderful things we get and how much people mean to us in our lives. I would bet everyone on this forum has been through some kind of hard time in their lives too at some point, and to me it would feel much better to tell the world about something spectacular that happened to me if so!
Well, I guess since I jumped in on this thread I'll go ahead and post what i got for xmas....

I got earrings and some money from my mom. I got an afghan, a yorkie planner, yorkie address book, a yorkie pillow from Melissa yay! Some purple bath towels, bath and body stuff, my favorite perfume "oscar", and of course I got my beautiful portrait that Michele did from Melissa and Judi. That was the best early xmas gift I've ever had!

And Kristy- I too got some of those things where you just scratch your head and say "what were they thinking?" One of them was a little bottle of perfume that i had never seen or heard of, STUNK like the dickens and had no label or box

Hey...I was just thinking about starting the "I'm not nice, I'm gonna complain about my presents" thread, and ya beat me to it. After reading about the nose hair trimmer, I've decided that perhaps I didn't do too bad. My complaint is really regarding exchanging gifts with friends. Now I shop and find something nice.....seems they shop and buy the first thing they see. One gift I received was actually broken when I opened it. She didn't mention it and neither did I....but it was pretty obvious. I'd dang sure NOT give someone something broken.

Now for the not nice rant...

Also I collect snowmen, now I am very particular when it comes to these or any of my holiday decorations. I'd much prefer someone not buy this kind of gift for me, cause chances are....it's not something I would've chosen and really do NOT want to display it. This year ALL I received as gifts from everyone but hubby and dd was....SNOWMEN. Some things I actually do LIKE, but many I don't. I told my husband with the exception of his gifts....ALL of my Christmas gifts will disappear when I pack up my stuff. If anyone can think of a tackful way to say....hmmmm, NO more snowmen presents, I'd appreciate it. I know, I'm mean and they don't have to buy me anything at all...sigh.

Hubby and DD did a wonderful job - Dooney&Burke Purse, Robe and lotions from B&BW, some DVDs, and scarves. Guess I should count my blessins'

I know what you mean. I got my one friend a themed gift - it was a bunch of stuff that would remind us of when we were next door neighbors in our dorm @ college.

I got her a new belly button ring - we got ours done together
an alumni hoodie that she's been wanting
a gift certificate to the pizza place we would go to after our drunken nights out
a pink down feathered throw that is reversible - i spilled red wine on her baby blanket - long story LOL but it was pretty much ruined. I never replaced it.

Anyway, she got me a DVD. I never watch movies and I have never even heard of this one... really PISSES me off. I def put a lot of time and effort (and MONEY) into her gifts and she practically closed her eyes and pointed to a shelf @ Best Buy to get mine.

Kristy~ I agree, your gift to her sounds great, and had thought and effort put into it,and INVOLVED THE THEME!! Unlike hers, I don't blame ya, for being ... But' I'm like you with gift buying,, a little thought and effort, and PAY attention,, to the person, and you can always get them something they will love.. People always say to me " You buy great gifts.".. and I always say, " I just pay attention."

Kristy you can be my new best friend

We used to hang around a couple that had a party after Christmas. We did the secret santa gift exchange thing....the exception was the item had to be something you received for Christmas that you DIDN'T want. That worked well at the time because that group of friends was different from another group, so if it was a gift from the other group....they'd never know. I'd love to do it now, but I'd have to invite the people whose gift I didn't want....not sure how you'd explain that. LOL. Maybe we need to start a Yorkie Talk gift exchange for those unwanted gifts

Rhonda you can be in me and Kristy's new best friends group....course I didn't ask Kristy if that were ok, so we might not be friends any more either.
