I know what you mean. I got my one friend a themed gift - it was a bunch of stuff that would remind us of when we were next door neighbors in our dorm @ college.
I got her a new belly button ring - we got ours done together
an alumni hoodie that she's been wanting
a gift certificate to the pizza place we would go to after our drunken nights out
a pink down feathered throw that is reversible - i spilled red wine on her baby blanket - long story LOL but it was pretty much ruined. I never replaced it.
Anyway, she got me a DVD. I never watch movies and I have never even heard of this one...
really PISSES me off. I def put a lot of time and effort (and MONEY) into her gifts and she practically closed her eyes and pointed to a shelf @ Best Buy to get mine.
