We are supposed to get 6 to 10 inches and my car wont make it through that so I have to go into work an hr and a half early because thats when my husband leaves and can take me. I dont like snow storms a couple of inches are okay but that much leaves people stranded since they dont get to plowing the residental neighborhoods untill several days after storms like this.

Well, I won't be surprised if Danny calls around Ardmore and tells me he's had to turn back but I hope he won't have to. Hope he can beat the show and stay safe.

Oh, I am so sorry. It's never the same when a child is away on a holiday, no matter how big they are! It is a big hole they leave when they can be home, isn't it? I only have the one child but the two times the weather has kept him from coming home Christmas, it was just not the same. I enjoyed the others in the family being there and love them all dearly but when all your chicks aren't under your wings at Christmas, momma hen is not right somehow. Bless you, bless you. He's coming smaller highways 9 or 69 and 43 I think he said and nearing Atoka, so through God's grace, he is still a little east and southeast of the snow/ice/sleet! He said it is raining some and he's says he's watching for black ice, etc. Oh, Lord, I wish he were here.

I'm so sorry you have to work today!!! But thankfully you have someone to drive you and don't have to face all of that snow alone in your car! I always feel so much better when a man is along and the weather is bad. How long before he will arrive?

When we talked about 40 mins. ago, he said he might be about an hour from the border and then(he's not really sure since he's not driven it before - he's just been up there about 2 weeks) however long it will take to drive to the metroplex from there, and in this weather, I'm not sure. I didn't even ask him how long - was afraid he might try to make it in that time or something. I so worry that by the time he hits northeast Texas the winter weather will have made it over there - but, the ground is pretty warm as we've had record December warmth this year so hopefully it won't be sticking and freezing immediately. Oh why did the weather have to do this today? Now I'm pretty much wishing he hadn't tried it.
