Zachary's Mom Donating Member | Non-Paying Ebay Buyers Gotta rant here or I will blow up!! George and I sold our smart phones on Ebay and bought cheaper phones to save money. Both phones sold (ended last Friday) and the one buyer paid immediately. The second one has not paid nor responded to several more invoices and emails. After 5 days, I threated to let Ebay know he hasn't paid and gave him til Friday AM to pay. His reply to that email was "Yes Dear" which got me so angry I could have screamed. YES DEAR???? UUUUGGGG. Needless to say, I notified Ebay this morning and still haven't received payment. I have to wait 4 days to relist the phone and get my final value fees back from Ebay. PLUS, I had 2 other good bids that could have sold the phone for almost as much. We were planning on using the money for Christmas. The first phone paid off bills and the second was for gifts. Now, no money so no gifts. WHY do people do things like this??? A seller CANNOT leave negative feedback for ANY customer no matter what they do or do not do. It is so unfair. Thanks for letting me rant and rave. Louise |

| Yes, I stopped selling on eBay for just this reason. And because the fees are ridiculous now. So, goodbye eBay. At one point you could offer the second highest bidder to buy but I don't know if that's an option now. What happens in place of it is when you send the complaint to eBay they will leave a negative mark on their account. As a seller, you can block bidders if they have 2 or more negative marks on their account within the past 12 months.

| Yeah, ebay has changed and not for the safety of the seller. A lot of online selling is like that. I've been screwed by Google checkout, and I don't use them any more either. Like buyers are never scammers? I did like before how ebay did let you sell to the next highest bidder. They don't do that anymore? That sucks. I bet bc ebay was loosing out on listing/selling fees. For example, if I had an item to sell and I had 5 of them, and the next 4 lower bidders were still a price I would accept I could sell all 5, but now I guess you can't. Oh, btw did this person have low or no feedback? I've gotten a lot of people with no feedback that have been non payers.

| I had a guy buy my smartphone then trash it once he got it and contacted EBay saying I sent it that way and I refused to refund to try and get his money back.. eBay sucks anymore!! I have a letter from AT&T to show the phone to prove it was in new condition never used.

| I am so sorry you are having trouble. I agree...ebay is not what it used to be!!! I used to buy a lot and sell a lot ..I have sold a few dog carriers in recent months and it was just difficult and the fees are high!!! But still it is a place to sell stuff you could not sell otherwise i guess. Good luck getting this cleared up

| Ugh,sorry!! Ebay annoys me now too. We tried to sell my dads remote control air plane that was never used, it had been sitting in our garage for 2 years. We paid $200 for it, sold it for $100, and it wasn't the best material to begin with (made of mostly Styrofoam) but I listed ALL the stats, etc, that came along with it. They got it and claimed it was not as described etc. I think they just realize how cheaply it was, and didn't want it anymore, and I had put no returns accepted. But the item has to be 'as described' so we HAD to give them a refund. It cost us like $30 to send out too! So annoying. We got it back and it looked perfectly fine... just as it did when we bought it. Not to mention all the stupid fees.I don't really do ebay anymore.

| I love Ebay. My husband has been buying and selling off Ebay for many years. We do well by buying items at garage sales and reselling them on Ebay. My husband also builds his own software and he sells it on Ebay also. Of course, as with any business, occasionally we will come across someone that won't pay or someone that will want their money back but for the most part everything goes well. Some of Ebay's rules are a bit ridiculous but we have learned to live with them. We also sell a lot of books on Amazon. I love Amazon because they don't charge a fee to list a book.
