The person who you are referring to was using it like that on purpose. If you read through her post, there are several mistakes. I would hope all adults should have this one down! :)

I guess the worst grammatical error to me is the "I(he,they,we,etc.) seen....". You hear it so much on television or radio news reports when witnesses of some event or tragedy speak. That one really gets to me.

So many Texans and Southerners say "nucular". It drives me crazy.

JFK always said, "Cuber" instead of Cuba. Lots of people seem to add an "r" to a lot of words. Remember Teddy Kennedy calling Sammy Sosa "Sammy Soser"?

Now that you mention it. as a native New Yorker, I've always said "on line". Never thought of it before

I hate when people say 'Xmas' or even type it. I think the holiday deserves more respect than that. I also hate when people type HDB instead of Happy Birthday. You get to tell a person you love, like, respect, etc.. one time a year 'Happy Birthday' and you do it in 3 letters? RUDE! LOL

Has really bugged me lately. I'm the cell phone typo queen but seriously typos vs lack of knowledge of conjunctions gets to me.

Conjunctions and interchangable spoken words: their, there, they're in bothers me.

I've been called "grammar police" on FB because my only comment on a post is to correct the grammaar of the post itself.

I hear so many supposedly educated people pronounce it that way and it just drives me up a tree. Of all the other irritations mentioned in the posts on this thread this one is my absolute biggest pet peeve. Look how it's spelled, people. There's only one U in the word nuclear. Repeat after me. It's noo-clee-ur.

It annoys me when The First Letter Of Every Word In A Sentence Is Capitalized... did they forget to teach you that only the first letter of the first word is capitalized? Also "I" needs to be capitalized and the name of any country, state, or person but that goes without saying LOL. Or how about when though is spelled tho? :confused:
