| Oh, yes. Besides the frequent dustings weekly, there were those rounds of washing EVERYTHING with hot, soapy water and rinsing, rinsing, rinsing, drying and replacing all the pieces! It got to be too much of a grind when I got an arthritic hip and I guess by that time I had had enough of all of the cleaning, etc., and was just looking for a new "look" for the kitchen. Still, there are times I long to make breakfast in that kitchen. It was so like the days of my childhood. And turning a fried egg with my mother's old egg turner - very, very special. But however long you have your present kitchen and collection, enjoy it. Old, vintage pieces are simply wonderful - each and every one of them.

| Michelle, I love your vintage kitchen collection. It brings back many memories of my childhood. I churned lots of butter in those old hand cranked glass butter chruns. I am not much of a collector, but I have put my name on many pieces still in my folks' house I want when they are gone or done using them. Couversmom I love your house! My youngest dd wants an older house when she's ready some day. She loves taking me through the sections of her college town to show me the old homes she has discovered and dreams of owning. Linda, I also have admired your kitchen in the background of many pictures i've seen. Really neat ladies!!

| We collect coca-cola stuff. Everything's in storage right now while we remodel, but my kitchen walls are coca-cola red. I wanted to do black and white checkerboard tiles on the floor but DH said no. We have stainless steel appliances and have a retro diner look. I'll post pics when the remodel is done. I love your stove!!

| Just reading this thread now ~ I think that means I have been gone too much this week I love all of the vintage collections. Does anyone watch "American Pickers" on The History Chanel?
