Oh, yes. Besides the frequent dustings weekly, there were those rounds of washing EVERYTHING with hot, soapy water and rinsing, rinsing, rinsing, drying and replacing all the pieces! It got to be too much of a grind when I got an arthritic hip and I guess by that time I had had enough of all of the cleaning, etc., and was just looking for a new "look" for the kitchen. Still, there are times I long to make breakfast in that kitchen. It was so like the days of my childhood. And turning a fried egg with my mother's old egg turner - very, very special. But however long you have your present kitchen and collection, enjoy it. Old, vintage pieces are simply wonderful - each and every one of them.
