| Nothing is ever free! Last week I was flying high, I got a promotion/raise and signed my offer letter and I was wrapping up wedding stuff, getting married in 44 days now! Then this week, **BOOM** the hammer strike. My grandmother was just diagnosed with colon cancer, she's 80 years old and has dementia (not terrible yet) and today there was a big layoff here at work. Does it seem that when something good happens, then something bad must follow it, maybe to keep the energy balanced, within us? I don't know. I am very sad for my coworkers who were let go today. I am very thankful that I was not one of them. I pray they all find new and better jobs quickly!

| I'm so sorry about your grandmother. I do agree with you, I think the universe sometimes tries to balance the good and bad which I guess should help to keep us humble. Lately, I feel like all I get is the bad. Maybe I'll get a bigger payoff? Anyway, I'm so sorry about your grandmother's diagnosis.

| I am so sorry about your grandma It seems in my life that every time something good happens, something bad always comes along to knock you back a notch or two.

| That's so heartbreaking. Life always seems to send you tumbling down again when you're at your happiest. I'll keep your grandmother and family in my prayers.

| I am so sorry about your grandmother. Hugs to you as you go through this with her. I will add her to my prayer list. I had a friend who was going through some trying times recently. I love love the youtube posted. Casting Crowns song really makes you step back and think. My friend went through her storm and God cradled her through it. Only to give her bigger and better things. Some times we don't understand why things happen. Just remember He always has a plan.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Doll I am very sorry to hear about your grandmother. Sending prayers. By the way, years ago my grandmother was diagnosed with lung cancer. Doctors gave her six months tops. Well she showed them. She lived six healthy years, she exercised, did her morning tai chi and only used Tylenol for pain. So honestly I say pray and keep hope. Sometimes these doctors are a bit off. I pray that she doesn't suffer above all else. I will also say a prayer for your co-workers. It is so scary in this economy. We had two sizable layoffs a couple years ago and it depressed me to see so many of my work friends let go.

| I'm just so sorry to hear about your grandmother. It is so painful to lose those we love so dearly and hard to even go on sometimes after they are gone but remember Who is in control of all things and whether we can understand - there is a God who loves us all and has a purpose, plan and reward for each of his children that walk in His Path. I will be praying for her and you and the family as you face her homegoing.
