Oh how crazy! So glad you weren't on it! Not that I'm happy the other people you, but you know what I mean! I hate driving on bridges too. It's not my fear that they will collapse, but that I will get into an accident and fly over the side into the water!

Wow! That is scary. I think we may use that bridge when we are traveling to LBL to camp with our horses at Wrangler's Campground!

Thanks i am thankful that i wasn't there either, many times i have seen the traffic very heavy on this bridge..i guess the time that it happened made a difference

You are right you would...wranglers camp is very close to where i live on Lake Barkley if you ever ride over to Bacon creek where they put the boats in my house is straight across the lake...

I'm glad you posted this thread. I was just reading about this and it didn't say if anyone was on the bridge or not. So glad no one was hurt that was on the bridge!

It sounds like he was way off course according to what i have read and heard

sounds a bit familiar but that was what was said about the cruise ship that ran aground a week or so ago i believe in Italy where many lives were lost

Do you know which cruise line that was? I love cruise travel but what you told me is very unnerving. How sad

This happened over here a few years ago - and in that case the Captain was found to be intoxicated....

Yes, many lives were lost - people from all around the world - and many still haven't been found

Apparently the Captain was sailing the wrong side of the Island, and too close to the shore - eye-witnesses say he was showing off and waving to someone he knew. I don't know, I wasn't there, but the reports are terrifying.

Oh my! I know that it will be a huge inconvienience to those that use that bridge for work, but I am glad that there were few cars involved.... and especially that you were not on it, Ms Betty!
By the way, I think a few of us are hoping to go to the Louisville show on Friday March 16 and then out for a nice dinner..... as the time gets closer, I will fill you in on the details if you are interested!
