lol...Craigslist furniture ads can be a hoot! Around here they are always trying to sell "chester drawers" Along with rawt iron, I often see - rod iron

Yeah Ebay is the same, my bf buys hockey cards, and instead of searching the correct spelling of names he looks up common mispelled variations of the names, he finds cards at much lower prices, cause no one knows they exist. :P

Ditto. I am used to Canadian spelling of words (I think it's the same as British in a lot of cases) because that's how I was taught in school (before computers and spell check!) Now, all of our programs have American spell check and tell me I'm spelling all my words wrong Sometimes I go back and change flavour to flavor, favourite to favorite, colour to color, cheque to check, centre to center etc... because I don't want to look like I don't know how to spell lol!

I used to be a fantastic speller; not sure what happened to me! Now I have to use spell-check . . . which I am not going to do for a 'quick reply' on an internet message board.

I used to be a great typist too . . man, I am following apart.

So, I will not be correcting anyone's spelling anytime soon!

I think it just depends. I'm not like a total stickler for spelling but I also can't read posts that are all completely spelled wrong, in one LONG paragraph, with commas placed everywhere, no periods, and total run on sentences. I wouldn't say anything but half the time, I just don't read those posts and skip over them. It doesn't have to be perfect, I don't even care when people don't capitalize things and write in all lowercase, as long as it's easy to read and understand, no run-on's, etc.

As far as craigslist and stuff, yup, makes you look sooo uncredible if you write terrible. I've seen so many "chiwawa's" for sale. If you are gonna adopt out or sell your BYB pups, at least spell properly.
