| Internet Provider? Who has had good experience with an internet provider? I've used AT&T for years without issue. A few months ago, I upgraded my service to the fastest one they have. At same time, I disconnected a second phone line that I no longer needed. Since then, my service has gotten progressively slower and slower. Now my pages keep timing out. I finally called them today, at which point they told me it was a line problem and someone would need to come out. OK, fine. I asked if they had late or weekend appointments. Their "late" appointments begin at 4pm and have a 4 hour window. When I told him I don't get home until 6pm, he tells me they have both Saturday and Sunday appointments, however those have a 12 hour window! WHAT???? He and I agree that a 12 hour window is ridiculous. I asked him to relay to his higher ups that this may be the breaking point that finally drives me to get service elsewhere after MANY years of loyal patronage. Sadly I still make the appointment because what choice do I really have? Anyway, can someone pretty please recommend a good internet provider????

| I use Charter, I don't know how wide spread they are. My parents always used to as well, but AT&T offered a great deal recently so they switched. Wow! AT&T has been so terrible so far! They basically went over a week without service due to their malfunctions. My dad called at one point for tech support & was on the phone for about 30 mins. before they said (& after they had him troubleshoot) he should be talking to the U-verse people so he had to start all over. It's been a pain & he's about ready to switch back.

| We gad Comcast for several years and service would go out a lot. Got frustrated. Got a good deal for AT& T. While I love the service, barely any outages, and I like the no contract system we will be changing some services.. I get the internet, phone and tv package. Lot of trouble with the billing. The cut out the discounts I was suppose to have for a full year (ending 12.24.11) but the quickly corr and gave more time on them. But still bill goes up and down. I want to get rid of the house phone and keep the tv. Hubby wants comcast back for the internet, some reason he likes it best. I tried to drop the phone and due to discounts it was going to cost more with out it cause they would not give a disc. For comparisons, ck out the discussion forums on any provider site if possible. See what the current customers have to say.

| We have AT&T. Very fast. Love that part of it. The company kinda sucks. Don't like all the wiring and such that came along with it. But I don't see us switching anytime soon. WOW is supposed to be good, but we can't get it here. Comcast and all their bundle pushing plans plus the $$ of it all was a deal breaker.

| I have Verizon Broadband & only once in several years did I have no service for over 24 hours but otherwise no probs which is extremely important to me as I work out of my home using my computer. I have one of the cards for a laptop but previously I had a USB devices so I could use it on my laptop or desktop computer if needed. I just prefer my laptop. I have been extremely happy with their customer service as well. I live in the boonies but am fortunate that there is service in my area as I get no service with AT&T & Sprint (tried both before Verizon-was even forced to go to AT&T at one point & I knew there would be no service here).
