| So this was the original thread I was thinking about. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...us-people.html It's a bit different. It's more of a 6 degrees of separation type thing.

| Not me, but my husband stayed at Neverland Ranch for a couple weeks in 2003 and met Michael Jackson. He said he heard him sing in the hallways and it was amazing. He has some pretty cool stories about staying there, but no pictures because cameras weren't allowed.

| He set up Michael's computer network and loaded songs onto his ipod. He got to meet a kid and mom who were living with Michael, and even came home saying they were after his money... Months before they sued him. Michael may have been a little off kilter, but he did not molest any children.

| Ahhhh yes my fave. story to tell people: My husband and I, before we were married or even dating, worked at a school in Maui. He drove a van for students and once when we were doing a town shopping run with students an unleashed dog ran out in front of our van and we almost hit it. Then OWEN WILSON walked out in front of us and gave us a dirty look and leashed his dog. There were about 5 girls in the van all yelling "STOP STOP STOP, we wanna get his autograph and pictures!" and they were all texting their friends back home on the mainland like crazy. Needless to say the DH just kept driving and all the guys were laughing. At this point seeing famous people didn't phase us so much... happens a lot in small towns of Maui! We can always say we almost hit Owen Wilson's dog...

I don't know how anyone could be completely "normal" growing up as a performer, a very well-known performer.

| I am so jealous that you knew the Backstreet Boys! I was such a huge fan when I was young lol. They were the first concert I ever went to. A few years ago I went to another concert with a friend I went to the first one with, and the 13 year old in me wanted to try to meet them lol! A few months ago I met Travis Barker Blink 182 was playing a concert here and I went on a "classy" pubcrawl that night and it ended in the same club they were having the afterparty. I'm glad I was wearing a cute little cocktail dress because I don't think I could get in the VIP area otherwise! They would not let my fiance in to take a picture, so he took a picture of us from outside the gates and it's pretty blurry He was so much shorter than I imagined! I had to bend down to hug him (but in his defense I was wearing 4 inch heels)! I am NOT an outgoing person at all so it was awkward to get in alone without my friends and just sit beside him on a couch! I was a little bit starstruck! I talked to some other girls after I met him, as I was trying to get out to get back to Scott, and I was saying "My fiance is way over there and they wouldn't let him in" and they were like "YOU HAVE A FIANCE??? AND YOU'RE IN HERE???" as if I could only get in if I was a groupie Oh well!

| Oh I forgot another story! I almost sort of could have met Ryan Reynolds He was filming the movie Best Friends in the small sleepy little city where I went to college. My friends and I always joked about scouring the streets for him every night while he was there! Anyways, one Thursday night my classmates and I went out for some drinks, and I know I spent a lot of the night out dancing on the dance floor... Anyways, I went home like any normal night, got some sleep, and went to classes first thing in the morning. All I heard were mumblings about Ryan Reynolds so I asked what was going on, and my friend was like "They're talking about when Ryan Reynolds came to the bar last night" WHAAAAAAT? Apparently he came in the door, and a bunch of girls surrounded him and the bar asked him to leave because there was a commotion. I should have been front and center in that group of girls LOL! I can't believe I missed my chance and he was right there!

It amazes me what he went through that 99% of the public does not know about. I don't even really think he was that off kilter, really... eccentric, yes, but he was really a smart man when you read some of the works he wrote, etc. Plus just looking at his children and how well raised they seem to be proves a lot to me. Too bad they are now in the public eye a lot- what MJ did not seem to want. I remember you telling me that story about your husband and I am soooo jealous! Quote:
Ryan Reynolds- that would be have been soooo cool!

| Oh I remember one other time. A few guys from the movie Step Up 3 came in our shop and we built a bike for one if them. I have not seen the movie, bu apparently when I posted the pic on our FB page, a lot of our "kids" knew them.

| Ok, this is going to make you think I'm really old.... My dad just passed away and I was going through my scrapbook and came across a letter he wrote me. I was in junior high and the Monkees were my favorite group, their show was very popular. Well...I went to Savannah, GA - 1st stop Atlanta...with my mom to visit her home town and relatives...my dad saw us get on the plane. They delayed the plane to load the whole Monkee's crew on the plane. They were going to perform a concert in Atlanta. The letter said he was hoping all night that I would get to see them...Bummer...I didn't even know they were on the plane until I got his letter in Savannah. Too sad...my biggest celebrity miss. I did see Henry Winkler one time at Disneyland when he was young. He was hiding out from fans by the castle. That was fun. My dad was in the Air Force stationed in Omaha in the 50's. They were filming one of the old movies starring Rock Hudson there on the base. My dad said that when they weren't filming, Mr. Hudson would come down and play cards with them. Ok, those are my only stories. Not too exciting. I enjoyed reading all that posted though!

| OMG it was terrible. There were a group of girls from Europe who traveled all over the US & Canada with them. Quite a few slept with a few of the boys.
