Back in the 80's we had 60 something days, I believe, without any rain and temps. over 100. This summer has been even worse for some reason. The heat is horrible. My babies don't even want to stay out. They tee tee and want back in the house. We have lost shrubs, a huge tree in our front yard. Monkey grass along the sidewalk (which you can't hardly kill) and our grass looks like wasteland. Lost nearly all of our Saint Augustine. It has been one miserable summer and just paid a 545.00 electric bill to boot. Rain, rain, please come. |

I'm only 45 minutes north of you..I live about 5 miles from the ocean...we have a constant breeze and at night it is nice, but there is no way I would turn my AC off...LOL...If its in the high 70's I'm hot...only time I turn my AC off is when its in the very low 70's or lower LOL. |
I would love an 85* day!! I don't think it's been below 100* since Memorial Day and I don't remember what rain feels like. I think they said we have about 40 water main breaks a day because the ground is cracking and separating. |

We usually have very high humidity here. Thank goodness it hasn't been too bad since the temps are so high. I just hope there is some relief soon! |
I remember the first summer I spent with my dad in California. We were driving along on the highway and decided to roll down my window because I was hot. Big mistake it was like opening an oven door! LOL Here in Hawaii we roll down to the window to feel the ocean breeze. I will never forget the look on my dads face. :D |
Dh just told me that it is up to 102 degrees now that is hot |

114 here. Poor Mrs. Beasley, she will go to the door to do her business. the second she gets outside she turns back around with a look on her face like "I want to pee in the house" Poor Baby I just heard that several transformers in the city of Fort Smith have blown and parts of town have no power. :( I am trying to conserve as much as I can. My A/C is set at 78. Try not to leave anything plugged in unless it is in use. We are eating lots of salads. |
