| Witnessed a crime outside of my window last night :( I'm used to hearing people argue outside in the middle of the night. Usually it's a young couple drunk slurring their words and I completely ignore it. Last night, I heard a man yelling outside of my window. I didn't hear any other voices so I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep. Then Teddy starting growling and barking (he sleeps with me) so since Teddy already was in full alert and wouldn't let me go back to sleep I decided to look out my window. Outside of my window (I live in the second floor of a condo) was a man screaming over a woman who was rocking back and forth while on her knees. From the looks of it he had parked his car there, took her out of the car and started screaming at her...she looked completely out of it. I've never seen anyone rock back and forth like that...it was so eery. He grabbed her arm and kept screaming and shaking her while she was basically dragged on the floor. I screamed for my S.O. to grab my phone (he was in the other room) and to take Teddy out of my room because at this point he was in a full on bark so that I can call the police. Unfortunately, my S.O. turned on the light in my room and whether it was the light that spooked the driver or he heard my dog barking he pulled the lady onto the car and drove away to another building where I can barely see them anymore. I saw him park and get out of the car again, but since It was a tall car I couldn't see if the woman got out of the car as well. He then got back into his car about 5 mins later and drove away. The police came too late I felt so bad about the ordeal because I had an IPHONE! I could have taken pictures or videotaped everything or tried to get license plates...but I panicked and all I can think about was to call the police and give as many details as I could while the situation unfolded...while at the same time get my dog out of my room because I was pretty sure that in the same way that I can hear that man screaming out of the window he could hear my dog barking excessively...I really wish I taught Teddy the quiet command The police thanked me for calling and for doing the best that I could. I only listened halfheartedly because all I could think about was that that woman wherever she is now...did not look right to me at all. I don't know if she was rocking back and forth because she was in some sort of drug induced state, or if she was scared/or was beaten down. All I know is that I had a hard time going to sleep last night. Thanks for letting me share. I'm still pretty upset about this.

| This had to be horrible and scary for you. Sounds to me like she was probably scared why she was rocking back and forth hoping he would quit hollering at her. It is hard to think of what to do in any situation like this. Hopefully someone else heard it also and the police can find the people. I think the law enforcement has to be so overwhelmed and all the horrible crimes that going on now that they don't know which way to turn.

| That must have been very frightening to witness. There really are some real scumbags that live among us and when we are not use to witnessing this type of behavior it really is very upsetting.

| I'm so sorry. Things like this are very unnerving. You did the best you could in that situation.

| That is aweful. I too worry about the woman. I will pray that she is okay and can have the strength to get out of such a bad situtation.

| Yeah...I just saw the car parked outside again. Either the woman lives here or they both live here...not sure if I should go and try and get the license plates and check out the apartment number they are parked in? Chances are the cops won't investigate since it happened last night?

| Who knows. If you call the non emergency number with the information they might come check it out. I would call.

| i would defin call again with as much info as you can collect. sounds fishy and scary to me and they don't need to be living in your neighborhood if they're causing you to loose sleep over their domestic disputes. at least call it in again and try to help somehow. |

| I hope the police are able to do something. That sounds so scary, and if I was in that lady's shoes I would be eternally grateful for the kind soul that called in and changed my life.

| Just be careful when leaving and returning to your condo... if he figures out it was you that called the police, he may try to retalliate in some way... also protect your doggie. Do you carry pepper spray?

| Don't feel bad about not having taken pictures/license plate, etc... you did more than 95% of the population would have just by calling the police. And as the above poster mentioned, definitely take extra care in case he thinks it was you. Definitely sounds like domestic abuse from what you described. |

| You guys will NOT believe what just happened. A couple of months ago I posted this thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...og-owners.html where to make a long story short this man was walking these two huge dogs, he told me they were friendly, then all of a sudden they started pulling towards Teddy and then started fighting EACH OTHER and then the owner stopped them and started SMACKING THEM in front of me. Well...I just took Teddy outside to walk him and I saw these two huge dogs start barking growling and pulling towards Teddy...they pulled the owner about 2 feet closer to Teddy before the owner restrained them...it was the woman I saw get dragged outside of my window the other night...she lives with that guy that I saw beat up those dogs...I just turned around and went back inside my apartment...
