| She is driving us NUTS!!!! okay, if you missed my last post about my neighbor who has accused my sweet fiance of being abusive, this is the link http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21207 This is part TWO... my fiance and i were watching a movie and the *&#$& POUNDS ON TEH WALL! She didnt come over and say "oh this is too loud" (which it WASNT, it was no louder than normal, and she has NEVER complained so far in teh YEAR we have lived there... i even asked the managing office and they said no there were no problems reported) oh, and this was at midnight.... so okay, ill give her the benefit of the doubt so we turned it off and went to bed....So, we have since figured out our sound system (the problem that we were TRYING to fix was that the background music was too loud and the voices were too low.... ) well, now it is fixed so that the voices are much clearer and the music softer which enables us to have the volume lower.... well the *&#$& does it AGAIN and it is was only Six o clock at night!!!!! The base box is by the couch which is as far away from HER conneccting wall as it can POSSIBLY get, and the speakers are all facing so that the soundwaves will go AWAY from her wall as well. The Television WAS NOT loud to begin with and she is REALLY starting to get on my nerves. I am a very patient person (i work with kids for cryin out loud) but this woman is pushing me to the breaking point, i just want to yell at her. She complains about slamming doors (which isnt us) and she bangs on our wall!, i have half a mind to invite the managing office people over here to witness how loud our TV is and how She pounds on the fricken wall all the time.... The first time my fiance and i looked at eachother and said "okay fine, we will give ourselves a 10pm quite time" but at 6PM, CMON! I'm secretly hoping that she will call the cops so that i can invite THEM in to witness her being so unreasonable |

| Ugh...thank heaven I have never had the pleasure of living in an apartment. If your T.V. was on at 6 at night and at a volume you feel wasn't loud then you weren't breaking any rules and if she keeps on banging on the wall I believe I would report her to the management and let them deal with her. What the heck is she in her apartment with a glass up against the wall? Busy body old bag needs to get a life by the sound of it.

| I know how mad and frustrated you are, but sometimes "honey attracts more flies than vinegar." Try doing something nice for her, take her cookies or something, and then apologize to her for your sounds system. You could then explaen that you have hopefully corrected the problem. I'll bet she'll be so ashamed of herself you'll never hear that banging again! Good Luck!

Good idea. She's probably lonely and has nothing else to obsess over... Just remember - you're trying to be nice, so nothing funny added to those cookies!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OH BOY do I remember my neighbors like that - I had one that actually pounded her walls during my boyfriend's and my alone time - she was SO OBNOXIOUS and one day even came over and knocked on my door - I was so embarrassed - but we didn't handle it too well - that just made us noisier. We almost broke certain furniture in my house trying to REALLY annoy her if you get my drift..... Ahhhh...the good ol days.... I agree with Elizabeth - Kill her with Kindness - maybe she'll leave you alone ? |

| try turning down the base on your Subwoofer they are designed to convey the lower bass tones of the home theater experience. Subwoofers increase the quality of both movies and music by providing richer, deeper sound quality while enjoying your home theater. Combined with a surround sound package, subwoofers bass radiates throught out the house and is possible bleeding (humming) through the walls or the floor, when I watching a movie in my living room watching a movie and I go into the kitchen to get a drink or whatever, I can here the bass, almost sounds like thunder I have a pretty big house! so Maybe if you turn down the subwoofer you might not have any more complaints all the surrond systems have a tendency to give you better quality sound, better than hearing what the heck they are saying? so I find myself constantly turing up the volume to hear what is going on! until i figured out to turn down the subwoofer, although if your subwoofer is not independant of your system there isnt too much you can do but move it away and off the floor, this would help muffle the bass. it would help being off the floor has the bass will go through the floor. good luck and I hope this works if not try inviting your neighbor to a movie at your place! maybe they would enjoy your system they might just want to get their own? |
