| My 16 yr old dd has numbness!! It started on Sunday. She said the back of her arms felt numb and weird. Then yesterday about 1 hour before my son's graduation () she tells me that it's not just her arms..it's the back of her neck, her jaw, her ear, her lower back. Then when we got home last night it was also her feet. This morning it is the back of her throat, her nasal passage, now she tells me that she can't taste lemon juice on her tongue. I AM FREAKING OUT!!! on the inside!!! But on the outside I have to be calm. We went to a neurologist this morning and she did all kinds of reflex testing. All looked normal. Then she sent us for a MRI of her brain. Well she just called and said everyhting looks normal. She doesn't have MS. Now we have to go for bloodwork to check for lymes disease and she is doing a full blood panel and checking for other things. We won't get the results until Friday for the bloodwork. My daughter said she feels like she took a bath in anbesol. Any ideas??? anyone???

| Does she have migraines with aura? They can cause numbness/tingling, I've experienced it before even though the headache itself never came on. I am guessing the neurologist already looked at this avenue, but thought I would mention it in case s/he didn't. Either way I'm very sorry your daughter is going through this, I send her well wishes.

| I am so sorry to hear you daughter is having issues. Sending prayers and hugs. I hope they find out what is causing the numbness.

| I am glad you are taking all the precautions and having tests done to see what may be causing the problem. My SIL was experiencing numbness a while back and she found out she had thyroid disease. There are so many things it "could" be, I am sure your doctors will determine what is causing this. Prayers and positive thoughts to your daughter. |

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | My brother had thyroid issues also made him feel like he was having a heart attack. And they finially figured it out and he had to have surgery and is on medicine for it. But has been fine since he is much older then your daughter. Sending prayers your way. And you have to stay strong on the outside for her.

| I will say a BIG prayer for your daughter and you too, sometimes we moms need more prayers, just so we can keep sane!!! My daughter also suffers from numbness in spots in her legs and arms. She talked to the doctor about it several times.....and for the life of me I can't remember what he called it.....but hers was nothing serious! Hope for the same for your daughter too!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I hope everything is ok and it is nothing serious. Is your daughter stressed out about anything. Stress can manifest in many ways. Just a thought. I know how you feel my 25 year old DD was diagnosed last year with rheumatoid arthritis and went through hell before getting on the right meds. She was a trooper, I was a wreck. I will keep her in my prayers.

| Yes they are often. I was going to say Thyroid as well & Hashimotos as it can cause neuropathy with or without a Thyroid storm. I would deff have her Thyroid checked & not just the norm but the T3 & T4 +TSH. I'll be praying they find some answers soon. |
