I know everyone hopes she gets the death penalty, but personally I think the best option for her is to spend the rest of her life in jail. She is so vain and selfish and considering that she got rid of her daughter to "free" herself of all responsibility so that she could go around and party....I think NOTHING is worse for her then have EVERYTHING taken away from her and she is forced into living in jail until she dies.

| ![]() I think life in prison with no possibility of parole would be fine ... IF ... she has to serve it in solitary confinement [if that's possible]. I just hope that she is convicted ... she is a sick, habitual liar and should be punished for what she did to that beautiful child.

| ![]() Unfortunately if she is in prison she has a better life ( that taxpayers pay for) than some people in the real world. She has food, shelter, TV, can get a college degree. exercise, socialize. She doesn't have a mortgage payment. no taxes, or bills. She just won't be able to party. But if she is nice enough to the right people she could probably have anything she wants. Sure mom and Dad can still visit.

With me, her testimony didn't change my mind enough to show Casey is innocent. I think what we are really talking about is, “Was the act premeditated?” I do not think the state has ever shown that, I do think she gave her different drugs when she went out to party, and may have even kept her in the trunk when she was visiting her boyfriends. She’s told people before that she gave her daughter drugs to make her sleep. Why the state didn’t make these people testify, I don’t know, it’s almost like the state thought that might show it could have been accidental? Maybe the other drugs weren't working as well any longer and she gave her something stronger, chloroform? Was the taping of the mouth to keep her quiet, who knows, but, even so, this is such extreme abuse, that she deserves to be severely punished? I’m also upset that she seems to be making up the story about the drowning and her father’s involvement, as an former police officer, I just don’t buy that he’d ever do this, and if so, it wouldn’t be this sloppy. He also would have never told police officers that his own car smelled like a dead body. I’ve read of other “mothers” keeping their children in the trunk, while they did their own thing, and if Casey slept in too long in the morning, and left her daughter in the trunk, with the Florida sun, it would have killed her. How many of you think it was premeditated, and why?

| ![]() I think Cindy is lying because she has changed her story from depositions, interviews, sworn statements, and now testimony in court. She tries to excuse her lying by saying she is on different medication now and that her memory is BETTER than it was at that time. Unfortunately, that is not the way it works. Memory does not become worse because of medicine and then become better, 3 years later, because of different medicine. This just doesn't make any sense. But, it is her way of trying to explain why her own story changes sooooo often. I really hate lies. They drive me insane. Yes, we all lie at one time or another, but I hate it SO much I strive to be honest in every way I possibly can. Even when it is embarrassing to myself.
