I don't think they should have given the grandparents an exception to the witnesses cannot watch the trial in the courtroom rule. They can change their testimony as trial goes to be Casey-serving. Has anyone heard why the trial was posponed today? Any theories out there? I'm dying to know what went on behind closed doors today! |

I've heard that Florida may change its rule regarding this, because of this case. Although, unless they’re actually sequestered like the jury, can’t they see it on TV and the internet? Regarding postponement, I've heard several theories, from plea bargaining to case misconduct involving not receiving all the phone records involving the meter reader who reported the body. There is some speculation that it involves Cheney Mason, a very good lawyer who joined Casey’s team after Baez was criticized in the press so much. My guess is its theatrics. Casey was blowing her nose such much, (fake crying). Apparently, there is an advantage, if the jury goes into the weekend with the thought that Casey's team did well this week, and lots of experts believe Casey's team has the advantage of this week. |
I just don't know. I find it difficult to think that a jury would believe the family now. How is it both mom and brother have memory problems? I have tried to think about how I would feel listening to this case without knowing anything prior. I really think I would be highly suspect of their testimony. I think in the summations, the prosecutor will blow mom out of the water. She only did some searches...and not the others? And, it was about dogs eating bamboo yet she did not one search for bamboo or dog? She did not remember all of the stuff from depositions? I am thinking they went easy on her but will lower the boom later. Who knows. Just NUTS. |

'Legal Issue' Ends Casey Anthony Trial Day 28 Early - Orlando News Story - WKMG Orlando takes a while to load (unless my computer was just being slow). |
Perry said that what ever is going on is unrelated to the issue of the Richardson hearing. I dunno. I guess we will have to wait until Monday to find out. |

Cindy's work records say she worked that day, but Cindy says that her records are often inaccurate, she is not allowed to work "overtime" as she's a salaried employee, and some days she's there 9 or more hours so the next day she might leave early, just always clocking 8 hours. Now, if they could get an actual record of something, which for a nurse would be kind of easy, aren't they always charting things, and if she wrote any emails those would be dated as well. |

To me the grandmother has impeached herself but the prosecution will likely hold off pressing it home until they are done trying to elicit the wanted testimony from her. I doubt that she's fooling the jury unless they are a far different group than the rest of us or one of them has a secret agenda. I heard on one of the TV news shows tonignt - from that Leon Padilla - that he thinks the trial delay is someway related to the Kronk testimony and the fact that Padilla thinks Kronk was tipped by the police has somehow come before the court, requiring some further legal research, etc., as to how to proceed with that witness. From the sound of it, Roy Kronk's testimony is going to be very interesting next week. I have never been clear as to the story of the discovery of the body and all of those phone calls, etc., so I would like to know what happened. |
I don't care if she is a grieving mother/grandmother, if she perjured herself I hope they nail her to a wall. I am so sure their investigators are looking in to all of it. If they do have evidence, she should be charged with perjury. It bugs me to death that the same attorney who basically called that entire family evil is now her buddy. I have a strong feeling he contacted them to save Casey's life..and if that is the case I also hope they nail him. This trial has become a joke. |
Duct tape I think a defense expert testified that the remnants of duct tape found at the home-or on the gas can-had only 2 components while the tape found on Caylee had three, therefore they could not have came from the Anthony home.....But I wonder if they have ever seen the tape for sale in a store in double packs or a contractor pack of 6 rolls? I don't think the packaging dept. must always keep the same lots with the same lot in the factory? The prosecution tried to match the trash bags from the home to the bags found with Caylee and while they were similar they were not an exact match....in my house I buy different brands and have they ever heard of a coupon? Did Cindy Anthony buy a year's supply of trash bags? Of course the bags don't match after 6 months.. Geez. |
I don't doubt the grandmother will continue enabling her daughter for the rest of her life, no matter what. Apparently that family has always walked on eggs around that daughter and you wonder if they - at least the mother - aren't/isn't is every sense co-dependent. I know that the brother's creepy bawling on the stand for being "left out" spoke volumes in that vein. Such a sad story all the way around what can happen when a person is allowed to go through life without ever having to face consequences. That lifestyle eventually hurts the person and everyone who has covered for them. |
