The problem here is that it may not do what she hopes for. It could put some doubt about guilt in a juror's mind and they might let her go.

I can honestly say I would not lie for my son. He knows that. I have never had an ounce of problems from him with regards to legal matters and such; and I do believe it had a lot to do with things I instilled in him. He always has known that I would have his back as long as it was not something illegal and wrong. Such things as: "call me if you are out drinking and I won't get upset .... just do not call me after you have either gotten stopped by the police or had an accident due to driving under the influence." I have always refused to be an enabler; and have raised him to know that there are consequences for your behaviors. If you are willing to pay the price...go for it....but don't ask me to pay it.

By the way....has anyone seen the difference in Casey's expressions now that mom is up there telling that story? I say she knows exactly how to work mom. I don't know if I can even stomach looking at any more of it...or the reports about it.

This is really unbelievable. I mean we are talking three years later and for the first time the mother is now claiming this?? Something is just off, and you have to wonder what in the world is going on.
I can understand that you do not want your child to get the death penalty, but that doesn't mean you tell a bunch of lies. If they think she is guilty do they want her to go free?
My Mother would not lie for us if we murdered someone, especially our own child. She would love us, but she would not lie or cover anything up.
I'm not watching the trial firsthand, so I'm just reading recaps, but isn't Cindy a nurse? She was looking stuff up pertaining to a car accident a friend supposedly had? Huh!
And she was supposedly at work, so I don't get it. Is it just they are trying to save her from the death penalty or are they worried what she may testify to if she takes the stand!
I mean she murdered their grandchild, and is claiming her dad and brother sexually abused her, geez!

Like I said: Throw the whole family in jail until someone tells the truth....but even then, I think we would always wonder.

I agree! Something is just not right with this whole family. I don't know what if any kind of abuse existed in this family, but clearly there is a lot wrong in this mess of a family.

The internet search said "how to make chloroform," which she said she did not look up, so where did these searches come from??

She says that she was asked if she entered the words "How to make Chloroform." She said earlier when questioned by the police and when asked today, No, she didn't enter that search, but she did look up the word "chloroform". You know how when you look up a word in google, it comes with a list surrounding the word you are using? For example I entered the letters “chlorofor” and google comes up with this list :

chloroform

chloroform msds

chloroform purchase

make chloroform

how to get chloroform

Those entries came up automatically without me ever looking up those words. See picture to see what I mean. In other words, if you just click on the wrong thing, you can get “How to make Chloroform” instead of just “Chlorform”. However, the prosecution asks if Cindy had a My Space page at that time, and she answered “No”, whoever had a My Space page also looked up "How to make Chlorform" within minutes of each other, so that makes it looks like Casey looked it up since she had a My Space page. Also, Cindy supposedly worked the date in question, and now she’s saying her work records could be off since she is a salaried employee not an hourly employee. I personally don't think her testomony hurt the prosecution.

I understand that, it happens to me too with searches.
I wonder if they should have televised this and allowed the parents to attend. They are now saying that it could have helped her create this whole story!

I thought about this as well...when you type a word in, it does automatically bring up other things associated with it. However, they made a point of saying that those exact words, 'how to make Chloroform" were typed out in the search box. So if she didn't type in that question, then that means Casey did.

I understand, as a mom, wanting to protect your child but she should be in protective-mode for her innocent granddaughter!!!!!

I just can't figure out what they are trying to do - other than muddy the waters so much that the jury can't figure out who did what.

I think the defense attorneys (NOT that I have anything against them; work with them every day) cooked this up.

I was very surprised by the testimony yesterday. Either it's a defense ploy - or was the whole family in on it???

Lee Anthony just testified he saw Casey's pregnant belly, asked her, asked mother, everyone denied pregnancy. Did not tell him until right before the birth there was a pregnancy. He was crying on the stand that everyone lied to him about this pregnancy. How deep is this toxic dysfunction?

Cindy is starting to seem like she also wouldn't know the truth if it bit her.

Here is my guess about that:
There has been talk that Casey wanted to give her baby up for adoption, and was pressured by Cindy to keep it. If she were planning on an adoption, then I can see how they would want to keep it hidden from everyone. Then, she decided to keep it and they were allowed to officially say she was pregnant.

Not that this makes any sense to normal people, but for them, it sort of makes sense.

I am disgusted by Cindy's continual lying. I am a mother to three children. I am about as sure as I can be that I would not lie for my daughter if she committed murder against an innocent child!

I told my husband this last night...I can understand Cindy wanting to save her daughter from the death penalty. If it were me, I'd be 100% honest about everything, and then BEG them to give her life in prison instead of death. I think the jury/judge/court would be more sympathetic to her plea for her daughter's life if she didn't lie and play so many games.

I really wish I was on this jury.

I don't even know why I try and keep up with this trial. I am just more and more disgusted as each day goes on.
