| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Have you thought about 'sizer-bumps' for your engagement ring? I have these on mine, and they keep it fitted better. They're like little speed bumps on the inside/underside of the ring, and a jeweler puts them on.

| I have read the articles about the children who make the fake bags and I will say this...I have a huge purse collection, none of them are fake, and I think only 2 of them are brand new...I would rather buy an authenticated, used, real purse than a brand new fake purse anyday of the week. Call me what you want but that's how I feel about fake bags. I don't neccessarily see a fake bag as a reflection on the person carrying it...I see it as an opportunity to educate if the person is willing to listen...although with some it doesn't matter. |

| I have never been a "material" kind of person. I am happiest with things that money can't buy like my family and the love of animals. With that said, I hold my camera and my scrapbooks the closest to me because they are what has recorded my memories. I am just a simple person, but saying that, I do not judge others for the way they spend their money on "things" if that's what is important to them. When people start to judge others based on their material assets or what they carry, I simply say, "things are not always as it appears" and leave it at that.

| I feel sorry for the person who said. She obviously thinks you have to carry a $400 purse to be worthwhile. Im glad I dont think that way and I can spend my money on what I want or save it or do what I want with it. I feel that way about cars and clothes and alot of things. I dont buy into designer and I think Im able to do more with my money because of it and I dont have false pride.

| Listen..... I love designer things. When I can afford it I get them and it makes me happy - but that's me. Whatever makes you happy. I would not be happy driving around in a Kia either. But with that said, I never look down on anyone for driving one or for buying imitation designer things and I should not be belittled for my taste either.

| I will also like to add another point about child labor, even though I'm sure that I will get tomatoes thrown at me... Every single developed country (i.e., United States, Western Europe, etc) engaged in child labor during the Industrial Revolution. Child labor laws developed only after these countries were in good enough economic standing to afford protecting children. No other country interfered with enforcing child protection laws, in fact every developing country did it at its own pace. The countries that are now engaged in child labor are now in a similar process where they are undergoing their own Industrial Revolution and are following the steps of other currently developed nations. I know that it sounds absolutely awful, but it is not right to interfere with the economic progress of other countries, simply because we can. In fact, I was forced to watch a documentary on child labor in my economics class and one country that banned child labor in order to appease Western nations is now the country with THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF CHILD PROSTITUTION. Look, I am not saying that it is right to allow children to work in factories, but to take away the choice to work in a factory, is FORCING children into prostitution as the only alternative to make money, eat and survive If given the chance, these countries will go through the same process as other countries and they will develop economically, and eradicate child labor in their own timeline, just like we did. In the mean time, I don't think we should force other countries to end child labor. Please take the time to think about what I've posted, and do your own research about child prostitution. If you were in their shoes, what would you choose?

Perception is everything...If that was a Paddington, Prada or other expensive bag she was carring and someone offered her the real thing for $400.... I woudn't think of that as an ugly person. ![]() More like: CA CHING!!!! AND hit the next ATM. Maybe that person couldn't afford the $12-$15, 000 price tag, but could possibly afford the $400 "real thing"... JUST SAYING

I love what you said. Why have so much of yourself rapped up in material things that can come and go. | |

I hold my family and dogs closest to my heart.....I've had designer this and that, but I usually buy what I like not because of the tag. My dogs own a LV & Beverly Hills Mutt Carriers (which I value because it was gifted to me by the family that has one of my pups). But, the one carrier I value the most was given to me by Sunnie as a thank you gift for mentoring me, that's what makes it valuable.... As far as the Coach this, LV, Hermes, geez everyone owns them now....If I was gonna buy designer, it would something that not everyone had and more than likely an Italian Designer....I prefer not following the crowd and setting my own style... That being said it's just stuff.....people are what count.
