Colored fonts distracting?

Nope not your age... I'm a "young little whipper snapper" as one member once called me. I get migraines from computer screens, so the bright colours set me off even if I don't have a headache.

Again I agree, didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Yes, very light text on a white background is very hard for me to read (I like light text on a dark background ). Thought it was just me though b/c I have visual issues.

I usually don't read these posts. I will if I think it's important; otherwise I skip them. If I decide to read them they get highlighted sometimes.

I agree, not to be mean or anything. Colored posts bother me, as do any posts that is in all italics, or mostly caps, and things like that.... I tend to just skip over them! Also sometimes posts are just like one big paragraph that goes on and on with no break and hardly any punctuation, that bothers me too.

I thought it distracting also. Unfortunately the one poster I do remember using this type of colored font did not post on here. Hope they get the message too.

I think most people find them distracting. When I took my mandatory beginning computers college class (don't remember what they call that) and we talked about website design, that is one of the things they teach you: don't use difficult to read fonts/colors. I also get irritated when I see all-caps typing...here or anywhere...same as yelling, and it turns people off.

This is what reallllly bothers me! I can't handle reading posts when people don't break up their paragraphs!! They are so hard to follow so I usually skip past them...

Oh yes, I forgot about those that post in all italics or a cursive script font. Those are so hard for me to read for some reason.

And if the post is in all caps or all bolded, I feel like I'm being yelled at.

I don't even want to think about those run-on paragraphs or those with no punctuation. They're just plain annoying.

I love color but, just not to read posts in and especially multi-colored posts (sorry, concrete girl!) but, it really is true...I usually skim over the posts because it is distracting...cuz I am an oldie!

Save oldies eyes...say no to multi-color fonts when posting!

I think your font color is very nice, but i agree with the others on the bright colors they are hard to read LOL but i am half blind anyway
