I can't read this color very well. It blurs with the background color too much.

Yep I think the reason its distracting to me is because Im old also. That bright pink color is very distracting

Oh my goodness. My old eyes are getting dizzy. I too find the colored posts difficult to read and often don't finish reading them if they're too long.

it's not an "old people thing" i assure you! i'll be 30 in a few months and those colors are still hard to read, esp. if i've been on the pc for a while, then i can feel my eyes being pulled in a million different ways almost out of my head it seems!

i like to use the colored fonts for some things, but black is the best contrast and i think the best to use when reading anything lengthy. IMO
