| When I go into a store, I try to pay in cash. I only give dollar bills and I'll take the change and save it up in a jar. You'd be surprised how much change really does add up after awhile. I've been known to get a couple hundred dollars worth of change. I also try to buy items on saleus another grocery store run. only. When I go grocery shopping I make a list of the meals I intend to prepare for the next two weeks and do a quick inventory of my cabinets. I only go into the store for the items I need that are on my list. Without a game plan, I'll end up with a bunch of things I don't need and I'll probably need something else later on to make some recipe that I decide to make out of the blue, thus another trip to the grocery store, which means more gas and I'd probably end up walking out with more things I don't need.

I shop the same way ! The bigest way we save is by shopping at our Sams Club that is owned by Wal mart. It a bulk only store and the yearly membership in only $40. I save so much money shopping there, plus using my coupon (yea: for double coupons) and only buying what we need and only when it in on sale. Stick to the list... And don't take your kids with you if at all possible. I always spent more when they are with me. I have a grocery budget and anything beyond that gets put in the Savings account.

| I save money by putting three quarters of my paycheck direct deposited in an account at a credit union that is not near my house so I don't get tempted to drive by and withdraw money. I have only a savings account there. I do not have an ATM card for that account. The balance on my bank account where the other part of my direct deposit paycheck goes, that one is for the "daily use", so when I see my account balance I always think that is all the money I have, therefore I " watch my money until the next paycheck. I go grocery shopping twice a month. I take lunch work and make lunch for hubby to com e home at lunch time( he works five minutes from the house), I do too, however, spring, summer and fall I ride my bike to work. I'm lucky to leave close to work.

my poor credit cards . I don't know if I have a summer job yet and my current contract ends soon, needless to say I'm a wee bit panicked.

| So you know those frozen dinner things that you just dump into a skillet and cover for 7 minutes and you have a tastey meal. Anyone know how I can make like 10 of those and throw them in the freezer? Like We really like the ones that have a bit of chicken, some veggies and pasta with a creamy sauce. I know I could make the dish if I had all the prep time, but would much rather make 10 of them and then seal them in baggies so I just need to reheat. I'm also assuming if I do it myself it'll be cheaper too. Especially if I make it at that scale. Thoughts?
