....and about that Grant.....he seems to be the one who is very athletic and winning the championships for them. He is definitely someone to watch.

I was shocked when Jeff said who ever was voted off will go to redemption island...I figured that once they merged that would be the end of redemption island....this is going to be very interesting.

And I thought no one knew that Ralph had the idol..I must of missed him telling his tribe members he had it.

My husband said the same thing - Rob should have gunned for someone on the other tribe for the shear numbers game and waited to gun for Matt later in the game after he dwindled down the other tribe.

It was in that episode or the previous one that Ralph told his tribemates that he had the idol. He told Russell he had it, but when Russell told him to prove it Sarita told Ralph not to show it so Ralph never really let Russell or the other team know that he had it.

I agree! And I do think that Rob should win in the end only because he is really playing the game well. Is he going to win? I don't think so. I do think that Matt is great in the individual challenges and he does have the pity vote. I am guessing that Matt will win - but time will tell.

LOL, no! He is more and more like Coach all the time. All of that goofy-style bravado, zen warrior baloney, and he stinks at challenges, physical or mental.

Matt made me giggle with all of his talk of a higher power wanting him to succeed at Redemption Island, but when it came to being voted back there, he asked, "what are you guys doing?"

I don't see anyone other than Rob having any real strategy right now.

I really think Rob's doing a great job; don't know if I would have voted off Matt this early, I guess we'll see how that plays out. It sounds like the person who is left on Redemption Island will be one of the final three, and Matt is so great a challenges, he has a very good chance to win their votes in the end. I guess you have to outwit someone, and still keep their respect, and Rob is good at that. I do not want to see Rob and Matt duel on Redemption Island, I love them both.

I meant in the game of Survivor! I think he is probably a wonderful person in real life. He is great in challenges too, but his social game is what cost him.

I think you may be right but his tribe is pretty passive when it comes to discussing strategy. I think if he gets wind of a possible blindside he could throw Phil under the bus and the girls will jump at the chance to get rid of the special agent for the United States of America.

I never understand why they get angry at someone because he/she is mean or manipulative. It's a game and the object is to win isn't it? I like Rob because he may be manipulative but he isn't mean. He's very personable and it's fun to watch his strategy.

They have often voted for someone who's out maneuvered them, no one saying that you should play the game. Lying is fine in the game, but you need more than lying to have strategy. Decisions should be made on how much of a threat someone is, not because they "back talked" you. In fact, during speeches if you have never had any strategy, you can be sure the jury doesn't like it. The trick is to manipulate people without making them feel like they were stabbed in the back. Rob plays a very strategic game, and people would still give him votes if he gets it that far. As Alaska Yorkie pointed out, he may get over confident and save the idol too long. Some contestants go too far, and promise on their "children's lives" when they don't even have to, leaving people with a bitter taste in their mouths, and their vote goes elsewhere. In other words, make love to them, don't just screw them.

I just want to put my opinion out there and say that this is the most boring season ever. And I am a diehard Survivor fan.

I think Matt has a good shot at winning. He hasn't alienated anyone at camp and he is proving himself a "survivor" by living alone on Redemption Island and winning to "stay alive" in the game. What do you think?
I agree watching Rob play his game is good but it bothers me that his tribe is so dumb. Do they realize he was on the "villain" team during "Survivor Villains vs Heroes" ??? There is a reason for that. And I would boot him for that alone. Huge threat to me winning. Obviously I'm not playing, but if I were...

Finally, if Matt gets booted and Rob is still in the game, he should win as No one else is playing the game! They're all following his lead. Duh!
