And, Brenny, yeah, you don't really have to do anything manly here. As long as you can write your name in the snow, if you know what I mean, that's manly enough. |

Hey Mike... I love the new avatar featuring your new son Rusty (Nanook) That is a great picture of him.... |
My redneck husband just got a new 4-wheel drive pickup, and after he got it all tricked out and ready for his hunting trips, he sd., "Now I just need a little seat for Mazie to sit up here by me, and I'll be all set!" :D He's not the internet-posting type, or I'd get him to join.....he is NUUUUUUTS about the yorkies, and esp. his precious little sissy-sissy-foo-foo girl, Mazie! lol |

NOW DON'T GET THE WRONG IDEA!!!....... I am happily married, love to "dress up pretty", wear jewelery, Clinique cologne, and go shopping!! I somehow managed to get a job that men are usually hired for! :p It is kinda tough, and I look goofy in a hardhat!!! (and the coveralls are NOT very attractive  ) .......... and I am considering someday to use my welding skills to make a wrought iron bed for Shelby & Seymour! ;) ....... again, just peeking in to see what "Great Words of Wisdom" are being posted here! |
Rise from the dead! |
Gonna be doing some manly stuff this weekend. Firing up the BBQ grill and smoking some chicken. Drinking beer while smoking the chicken. Friday I pick up my new little girl. Have finish putting together the new motor for my Mustang. Drink more beer. Play with my new little girl and get Jake used to her. Drink more beer. |
MEN - back for the attack! :baseball::smileyfla |
I'll be out trying to kill another turkey this weekend and at some point I'll probably fire up a tractor to disk the garden. :smileyfla |
I need to try turkey hunting. I have never been. One year I was out deer hunting and found a perfect location. Had my tree stand up and was in the stand well before sunup. As the sun starts to rise I start hearing turkeys. One flies in and then another and another and another. It was a whole mess of turkey's hat decided they like the area I picked out too. I ended up heading back o camp because the turkey's messed up my morning. Too bad it was turkey season at the time. |

Turkey hunting does sound like fun. Except for salmon, I've never killed anything bigger than a mouse, but if I did it would be a turkey. They are scary ugly. |

Also, their presence will make the deer more comfortable and hopefully make them think there isn't a predator around. |

I never thought about that :( They were making so much noise that I didn't think the deer would come around. Lesson learned! As far as being President... I don't know about that. You can't be Southern and not know how to BBQ LOL One of these days I plan on making a trip up to Alaska for some salmon fishing! |

1 Attachment(s) I smoked some sausages a couple of weeks ago. Poked them on sticks, smoked them, then froze them. I always have a few in the fridge. Just wrap in a paper towel and nuke it. Handy manly snack on a stick. This weekend, I'll be mowing.:( But after that, we might |
If I can ever get my Mustang finished a motorcycle is next on my list. Going fast costs waaaay to much money HAHA |

Nah, I grew up in a lousy hunter family. I did the NRA course and went out ever year in my youth. And not one of us got a deer. I think I lost interest. Plus, up here there are always good hunters willing to share their meat. |

I'll take a stab at this, but I will admit it's without any experience with ribs. I used to try and cook EVERYTHING the same way I cook T-bone and hamburger... over a VERY hot fire for quick searing/cooking. I'm thinking ribs should be cooked slowly over a low/medium hot fire? EDIT - Oops, not posted fast enough, but it WAS a good guess, right? |
One of these days, I'm going to get a fancy side burning cast iron grill. QUESTION - What is the proper and guaranteed method to seasoning one of those grills??? |
