Seeking photographic advice 4 Attachment(s) Hey, guys. I thought I'd check in with the man thread for advice on another man topic: photography. As some of you know, I'm here in Hawaii on a two week vacation. Well, you know how I like to take pictures. But I'm having a real problem with my zoom telephoto lens. I can't "zoom out." In this first shot, I was trying to take a picture of the surf crashing on the beach, a boat in the background and a brilliant sunset behind. But all I got was this girl swimming. I'm so frustrated! To make matters worse, last night at the luau, I was trying to get a picture of the band playing, the array of dancers dancing and the magificent stage. Well, as you can see in these shots, I'm pretty disappointed. The first just shows this female dancer's belly button and all the second captured only her coconuts. I'm so embarrassed to be posting them here. My apologies, guys. So any suggestions, guys, on how to fix my lens? Oh, here's one last shot that my wife got. For some reason, she's not having the same problem with the telephoto. Weird. |
OMG I hate it when my camera does that! Have a mai tai for me :) or 10~ And please stop taking my picture and posting it on the internet! |

I feel there is nothing wrong with the camera when you use it! Quickly take the camera away from your wife as she has broken it beyond repair!!!!! Quote:

OMG! I haven't read ALL of it (it kind of has that Doestoevsky feel for brevity), but I am laughing so hard I'm crying. Good grief, Mike!:D |
yea....my husband has the same problem. hehehehe |
Add another MAN to YT!!!!! The problem doesn't exist in the camera...I think it needs a larger zoom lens. :) |

Wierd--our camera malfunctions in the same way when my husband uses it. I solved the problem though. He wears a blindfold and I take the pictures. Now we have lots of closeups of buff young men. :D |

It's probably cheaper than a divorce. :D |
Aloooo....HA! Glad to see you are having a great time in Hawaii! I asked an expert photographer and was told many cameras has automatic T.N.A. Zoom settin just for men. You need to turn off the setting - Mrs will know exactly how to do so but the new cameras are so automated that it has a hormone detector and the setting will automatically come back once a male touches the camera. Figures - Canon and Nikon must be made by Japanese Men! |

Oh, in the last shot, the red roof in the center that looks like a guitar is dolly parton's house. It's near tunnel beach on kauai. |
The first picture took my breath away! I hope you are planning on putting together a photo album to share with all of us! |
