I recently bought and beat Modern Warfare 1 and 2, and Bioshock 2. I bought Portal 2 when it came out and that was a blast. My wife and I bought DKC Returns a few months ago and that was fun playing co-op. I just bought a new laptop and purchased Crysis and haven't had much time to play it. I'm also going to get back into Tiger Woods 12. I had a large pre-cancerous mole removed from my back right after I bought TW12 and I had a 3 inch elliptical incision that had to be stitched up. The doc said I shouldn't play golf for 3 months so it wouldn't split open. Those 3 months just ran out so I'm getting back into the swing of things (pun intended). I'm also getting Zelda for Christmas from the wife so I'll be playing that like crazy when I take off that week. I played GOW (the first one) co-op with a friend. We beat it in 2 nights! I haven't played 2 or 3 though. Are they as creepy as the 1st? I think my wife had nightmares after watching us play it haha |

There was also one time some kids in the neighborhood decided to come to our door to ask us something. We have a thick glass door in the front and Patrick saw them and charged at the door and slammed his front paws against it barking like crazy. The kids ran away. I praised him for keeping us from being bothered ;) |

They're even creepier if that's possible. The 3rd one especially. Really have enjoyed myself in each one. |

I think I'm about halfway through. I took off the week between Christmas and New Year's Day and had a blast playing it. There are some annoyances (like not being able to skip repetitive dialog) but I love the WiiMotion+ Swordplay. It's interesting to play the game that is the earliest in the timeline to see how it all started. However, I'm always confused as to how he loses his slingshot and bomb bags every game after that :p |
I see 11 NFL playoff football games remaining this season. Who's ready for some football! ;p |

Anyone know a good outdoor gas grill that won't rust and fall apart in 2 years? |
I like my Weber Genesis C, which I think is discontinued now (Weber Genesis Silver C Gas Grill (Discontinued) - Gas Grill Review). We've had it 4-5 years and it's always been outside. We used to have a covered back patio, but now there's just a grill cover on it and it gets rained/snowed on for the past 2 years or so. It doesn't look brand new, but it still looks respectable and works fine. :) I replaced the grill grating and burner covering plates last year... We had a cheapo $100 grill before the Weber, and it didn't last more than 3 years... Happy BBQ hunting! |
We have a Viking. They are ridiculously expensive, but ours fell out of the back of a moving UHaul and survived... how many ppl can say that ;p Its nicely bent in a couple places, but I'd say anything you can throw at it it'll take. I think its at least 8 years old as we got it when bf's parents moved and we don't plan on replacing it anytime soon. |
We run a Weber Geni, too. Love it. Bought it used a couple of years ago from a neighbor that was moving. Great rig! |
Giants/Pats in the SB? Whaddaya think!!? |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I received a grill as a Christmas present and it only lasted 2 years. I then went to Sears and bought a comparable grill that started rusting bad after only 1 year! I've managed to push it another year by drilling new holes in the non-rusted portion but it appears that the bottom might fall out at any moment. I even have the grill under my patio so it never gets rained on, but we do have high humidity in southern Louisiana, so that's probably why they're rusting so quickly. I believe these grills were in the 2-3 hundred dollar range, but if I have to replace it every 2 years that really adds up. I'd rather pay a higher price for one that will last me a while. |

I wouldn't go against Brady and Belichick in a revenge game... |
I think I've decided on the Weber Genesis, probably the 310 model. Not sure about the E (porcelain) or S (stainless steel) because there's a definite price difference. I'm thinking I might need the stainless steel since I live in such a high-humidity environment. |
Hmm... only 3 points?? Tough call. I wouldn't bet against the Giants at that spread. Eli has been to good on 3rd downs. With the Pats D??? |

My Weber grill cover is porcelain, and the edges are chipping off a bit on the sides... I have stainless steel grill grating. |

Congrats, very pretty! Happy eatings! Mmmm, steak! I'll have one rib eye medium rare please! :) |
Thanks! I actually cooked some rib-eyes last night and they cooked fast. It definitely holds heat better than my last pit and actually cooked them more than normal without burning them. I was constantly having flare-up issues in my older grills but that doesn't seem like it will be a problem anymore. I think I'll be grilling some chicken tonight :) Maybe we need a YorkieTalk product recommendations thread because this turned out quite nice  |

That's a great idea, should we share recommendations with the ladies too? Or just keep it in here? ;p I'd be happy to recommend stuff if it's something I know about... |
Great idea. Keep it here, the ladies always think they have the best recipes! I think I'll break out the grill. That ribeye post makes me drool! Havta shovel off the patio! |
I think I'm going to be grilling quite a bit more now! I cooked a chicken breast 2 days ago and it came out perfect. No burns, super juicy...best I've ever had come off a gas grill. Then last night the wife and I made a quesadilla meal we haven't made in a while. She bought some strips of chicken and fajita packets and I basted the chicken while I grilled them. Those came out perfect as well. I've been missing out all these years with these cheap grills. I noticed on my old one that the heat dispersers/flavor bars were way too close to the grates and were relatively flat so stuff would fall on them and stay and burn up. I would always have trouble with flare ups and would have to babysit while I grilled. The flavorizer bars on the Weber are angled enough to where everything falls to the bottom of the grill and doesn't start a fire. Plus they're far enough from the grates so if they did flare it wouldn't torch the meat. Makes me wonder what the heck the designers of those other grills were thinking. Speaking of more recommendations, I have a semi-big lot for my house and had been using a self-propelled mower. That can be so exhausting with a 110+ heat index that I would usually cut my front yard one weekend and the back another. I had an appendectomy in July that didn't go so well, and my dad brought over his old riding mower and let me use it for the rest of grass-cutting season once I was able to go home. I'm thinking of buying one for myself and was thinking of a Troy-Bilt like this: Shop Troy-Bilt XP XP 22-HP Hydrostatic 46" Riding Mower at Lowes.com Anyone have any better recommendations? I'm guessing cutting grass is manly so it can stay in this thread ;) |
