| Such a shame!! Just saw this on TV news. A couple brought their dog, looks like a bishon, to the groomer. Well the dog got out of the cage and ran out the door of the place and got hit and killed by a car. What a terrible shame.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | And that is why the place i work at has a iron gate at the entrance of the play room, then a sliding door between that and the front store/check in area. Then to top it off the front door is always locked and clients need to ring the doorbell to be buzzed in and hit a release button to buzz themselves out. such a shame about the poor bichon. there is no excuse for that. there should have been barriers between the kennels where the dogs are kept and the front door. Plus the front door should never be held open for any period of time longer then it takes for someone to walk in or out.

| I agree there is no excuse for that. I only wish this shop would have thought about the safety of the animals left in their care. Poor little guy

| That was just total carelessness. Unless the door was bieng held open, how did it get out the door, let alone out of the cage. I suspect someone is not telling the truth. |
