| What's your fave CHEAP places to eat in vegas? I already got the tip on the 1.99 shrimp cocktails at Golden Gate (.99 cents if you sign up for a player's card ) The buffet pass, I'm thinking about. Don't know how many buffets I can do in a 24 hr period though. though it DOES include my fave buffet at the Rio. For 39.99 is it worth it? The other buffets in the program are just meh. Or we can just eat at Rio twice! Please share! I'm in planning mode. I've been needed to get away for a LONG time, even if this is for business, it'll be a nice change of scenery!

| The California used to have a FABULOUS prime rib dinner for 8 bucks, including dessert. It was the best! I've never really had to worry about eating cheap while in Vegas 'cause that's one trip that's generally a huge splurge, so that's the only suggestion I've got... |

| if you don't mind going off strip, check out The Village Pub (several locations) or the restaurant at Ellis Island casino which is by the same company as village pub. very inexpensive and FABULOUS food. We eat there at least two or three times/month. you can get a great steak dinner for two with all the trimmings for around $25. And it's menu, not buffet. Ellis Island even has its own micro brewery. It's located just off the strip behind Planet Hollywood casino. If you go down to fremont street, there's the golden gate casino where the $1.99 shrimp cocktail got its start in Vegas. You can still get it for $1.99 at the shrimp bar but I'd recommend going to the Bay Street Diner instead. Very reasonable and good variety. Their fish and chips is delicious. |

| This site lists some cheap eats: Eat Cheap, But Good in Vegas - Save Bucks for Booze and Strippers I don't think this place is all that cheap, but it's delicious if you like crawfish and seafood: Hot N Juicy Crawfish - Chinatown - Las Vegas, NV |

| Actually, Terribles has pretty good food for the best prices. The strip buffets are to die for but you just can't eat your money's worth. Terribles is great. The food at the casinos on the State Line is good and pretty reasonable also. On the way up and down from LA we'd always hit the Mad Greek...LOL strawberry shakes to die for. At any rate, your best deals are always going to be off strip. Always.

A LOT of people have recommended Ellis Island. Steak dinner with potato, green beans, soup or salad AND a beer for $6.99!

| I haven't decided yet. I literally just thought last night that I want to go to Vegas. I have 2 free Delta tickets (long story, but got stuck in Paris due to the volcano). I'm thinking sometime in November.
