| Can I get your opinion on paypal Im thinking about eliminating my merchant services on my website because the fees are ridiculous and I'd like to just make paypal my checkout system. Now days anybody can use any credit card thru paypal without having to actually set up a paypal account so there is really no difference. However I know a lot of people dont know that about paypal and so anyways my questions is what do you think of paypal? If you were shopping on a website and paypal was the only checkout method (although you can still use any of your credit/debit cards) would this turn you off? would you be okay with it?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | On the websites that offer separate cc services and paypal...I chose the former the majority of the time and always with a merchant I've never purchased anything from previously. Simply because using my credit card offers me more protection than paypal. I personally wouldn't limit the manner in which someone could pay me. I'd offer all options. There are still plenty of people out there who do not have a paypal account nor wish to open one.

| If I already had dealings with the company, I'd be fine with it. Otherwise I might hesitate. I do think it makes the most sense, but some are still not going to want to go through Paypal at all even without an account. I think it may negatively affect your business, but how much I don't think anybody can say. I've looked into merchant accounts before though and the are crazy expensive.

| Have you tried to get better credit card rates? The paypal rates are higher for me than my credit card fees.. Try asking around or asking them to review of your rates. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I always use paypal, and a credit card to pay paypal, if I have a dispute, I have my credit card company handle it, so I'm doubly protected. I'll go to a site that has paypal, rather than just credit cards, I just don't like giving my card number all the time. Paypal is so easy to obtain, if someone has a credit card they can sign up for it fast.

| I did all my PocoMutt sales with PayPal and never had any problems. Your customers don't even have to sign up with PayPal and can use any major credit card. I also love the merchant features with the shopping cart and the statistics... |

| I use my paypal whenever a merchant takes paypal. It would be taking a risk to limit the ways a person can pay but if I remember right Des at Gofetch is just paypal and it obviously hasnt hurt her

| When given a choice, I always select Paypal because the merchant doesn't get my credit card information that way. I had a problem with a store I'd ordered from for years about a year ago. Their website was hacked and I had some fraudulent charges on my credit card. I had to cancel the credit card. What a hassle. I have been selling bows using Paypal for six years and love it. Most people seem to have a Paypal account, but those that don't just make a one time payment with a credit card. I have never lost a customer because I don't take credit cards directly. |

| Didn't know this, but understandable. If diputed with CC, Paypal is left without any control. Good info to know. Thank you! |
