YT 1000 Club Member | Need help. Okay ladies, anyone that is currently going through menopause or has already passed it. I really need advice. Okay due to various female problems I had my tubes tied at the age of 24. well at about age 37 I started going through Perimenopause very slightly. Anyway it seems I am getting closer to menopause, hotflashes have gotten hotter, irritability has gotten worse, periods are all over the place and sometimes 16 days apart sometimes almost 40 days. If anyone has anything natural they tried please let me know. I really don't want HRT unless that becomes the only thing to help. Thank you going to try folding myself in the freezer.lol

| I couldn't take it anymore so last year at the age of 47 I had a full hysterectomy and I don't regret it at all! I still deal with small hot flashes sometimes but I just started taking Women's One A Day vitamins, Menopause formula and they work wonders! |

| I had my tubes tied in 76 at the age of 21. Hysterectomy in 91 but they left the ovaries. So, menopause started in the late 90s into the 2000s, black cohosh helped a little, but not enough. I succumbed. I take HRT. The smallest dose possible .5 estriadol. 1/2 tab of that, one a day. It is a beautiful thing. My mother had an emergency complete hysterectomy at 37yo and was on hrt for 40yrs, the shots every 3 wks. no cancer issues. it kept her skin young. kept her on an even keel. worked great for her. everyone has to make their own choice but for me it works.

| There are several herbs you can take for the hot flashes and for night sweats, and other symptoms of menopause. I refused to do the HRT as I have had two friends that did do it and they both got cancer. Treatable and both are in remission but still, I am glad I chose to do the herbal thing. I honestly cannot remember all the herbs I was taking........but I know evening primrose was one of them. If I were you, I would do a google search for "menopause herbs." I think that is what I did.......I was taking about 15 different herbs but it did help tremendously. I have all my insides and was put on the pill at 46 to prevent getting PG.......THAT was the last thing I needed. Then the doctor would check my FSH hormone (follical stimulating hormone) levels every so often.......when it was high enough to indicate full blown menopause, arouind 50, she took me off the pill and that was the end of any more cycles. I continued to do the herbs until I was around 55 and then stopped. I still have some hot flashes but only when I drink wine/coffee...........BUT BEFORE you do any herbs, I would check with the doctor and see if any interfere with any meds you are presently taking. The only herb I was taken off of after presenting "MY" choice of herbs to the doctor was the Don Quai (sp)......she felt there was a risk of it causing cancer but she was all for the other herbs. But I would definitely check with your doctor before taking any herbs.

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Been through all the irregular periods, for me it lasted about 2 years, Im 53 and no periods but have night sweats something awful. Not to bad in daytime. Dr says it lasts the normal person about 6 months. I guess Im not normal, been about 3 yrs for this. I tried the herbs, didnt work for me, and hormones were out due to a breast biopsy being abnormal. Good luck. |
