I had my tubes tied in 76 at the age of 21. Hysterectomy in 91 but they left the ovaries. So, menopause started in the late 90s into the 2000s, black cohosh helped a little, but not enough. I succumbed. I take HRT. The smallest dose possible .5 estriadol. 1/2 tab of that, one a day. It is a beautiful thing. My mother had an emergency complete hysterectomy at 37yo and was on hrt for 40yrs, the shots every 3 wks. no cancer issues. it kept her skin young. kept her on an even keel. worked great for her. everyone has to make their own choice but for me it works.
