YT Addict | Yes, I've had it done twice. I still have it. Horror story... The first time they took too much skin, and it couldn't move. I could barely clean it, but I tried. Everything looked fine on the outside, but there was an infection brewing on the inside. I noticed it when I couldn't even bend over forwards. My stomach hurt. I felt my belly around my belly button and the entire area was kind of hard. I squeezed the area a bit, and green puss starting coming out. I had to go to a piercing place to have them remove the piercing because it was too painful for me. I took out the piercing and omg! it was a mess. It would not stop oozing. I had to go to the doctor and get antibiotics, and a compress to help the junk get released. I have a visible scar, but decided to get it redone a year later. This time they didn't take enough skin, but at least it healed properly. It will eventually grow out, but I can enjoy it for awhile. I've had it for about 4 years now, and so far so good! the skin is getting thinner though. I have a horror story about my old monroe piercing too, if you ever think of getting one of those....

| No, not for me, thanks. I have had to get enough punctures in my body without having that one added to the long list! Honestly, it just kind of freaks me out. |

| I've had mine for atleast 7yrs now. I didn't take care of and it got infected. No one told me not to put alcohol and silly me did and it dried up. Put neosporing on it and you will be just fine. Another thing to remember your body tends to reject foreing obects and might push the ring out if it does that don't try again you will be left with skin hanging.

| I have a belly piercing, I didn't have any problems at all, you just have to take care to keep it sterilized until it heals

| I had my belly button pierced twice and it migrated out both times, so I moved up and went for the nose. Then I had jaw surgery and my face was so swollen I couldn't put it back in for a few days and low and behold it wouldn't go in. So, long story short, I stick with tattoos now!!

Thor's Human Donating Member | Isn't there a law that every woman under 40 has had her belly button pierced?? I haven't worn it in quite a while, like... five years? And fun fact, my skin has developed two keloids (lots of excess scar tissue laid down), one on the third pierce on one ear, and one on my belly button. Definitely not sexy. I had my nose pierced for a while too, which I liked a lot. If I were young enough, and worked in a profession where I could get away with it, I'd get an eyebrow pierce, and probably a lower lip one. For the lip, I'd get a little gem, off-center. I saw a girl with one like that a long time ago, and it looked like a really cool beauty mark. I also got a tattoo, before it was trendy. It's 20 years old now and looks like h*ll... I keep meaning to get it re-done.

| mine's been pierced for 10 years now. It took well over a year for it to heal and they get infected very easily. I do know they have a lot better info these days on how to care for them so that this doesn't happen. I'm a poor healer when it comes to piercings, so I wouldn't do it again if mine closed. And really other than showing it off at the beach, it doesn't do much. I'm just too stubborn to take mine out

| I've had mine done for about 14 years now without any problems or migrations. I also removed it twice and re-pierced again because of pregnancies and all was good. Now if I could lose this tummy to show it off, lol. |

| I have had mine pierced for 7 years now. In the first few months its really important to take great care of it, salt water soaks and keeping it sterilized. If you do that you should not have any trouble. Plus it doesn't hurt to get it pierced and it doesn't really bleed I love mine, its like my little secret The secret is only out in the summer when I wear a bikini.

| I have one too. I got one when I was 16. It went well and didn't hurt. You just have to clean it properly. Are you thinking about getting one?
