What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: My FH and I were the Grapevine Botanical Garden and there happened to be a Yorkie running around with a couple who happened to be married there, it was a sign that we would get married there and have a Yorkie!!

What are your hobbies?: Scrapbooking, crafts, playing online games, but my #1 hobby is Ranger

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?: He was very skeptical at first, but now claims Ranger as his! Time for me to get a dog of my own

I am going to try and put my craftiness to work on some major wedding projects. What made you decide to buy a Yorkie? When my daughter was younger I had one and showed him, he passed away. My present husband promised me one once we purchased our home. We got Buddy the month that we moved in and he was my birthday present. A year later my husband said that Buddy needed a friend, Jake.

What are your hobbies? My Yorkies, grandchildren and I recently started attending cake decorating clases.

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you? Yes, when he calls from work he has to talk to them also. Once he comes home he brings them for a shopping spree @ Petco & Petsmart.

Do you have any children? If so, what are their ages and how are they doing with your Yorkie? No children @ home anymore. Have a step daughter that visits when her dad is home. They go crazy for her when she is here.

Last year we puchased an RV and we go camping when ever my husband is in the states. Buddy & Jake love to go in the camper also. I like cooking, mainly exotic foods. I am VERY close to my family. I ride in a carnival krewe for Mardi Gras and have for the past 7 years.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: My daughter has been begging for quite a few years to have a dog. When my husband finally gave in but with the stipulation that she had to make the honor roll first, I was already hooked on the idea of owning a Yorkie. I convinced him on Christmas Eve to allow me to have a Yorkie pup for my Christmas and birthday present. Ever since I was a young girl, I've wanted a yorkie or a silky. So . . . Carter is my pup.

Have/do you have any other pets: I have a 33 gallon flat-back fresh water aquarium with various types of tetras.

What are your hobbies?: I enjoy working with the university Sports Information Department in game day duties of public relations and statistics. I also enjoy photographing sports action on the junior high, senior high and college level - especially LSU sports.

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?: He resisted a dog for as long as he could but now he loves him just as much as I do!

Do you have any children? If so, what are their ages and how are they doing with your Yorkie?: My daughter is 15 and does real well with Carter. Of course, since its my dog, bathing him, feeding him, taking him out to potty are all my job.

Anything else interesting that will help us to get to know you better?: Carter has become a great source of companionship when my husband is away at work and my daughter is at school or at friends' houses. My husband and I love to travel and do so several times each year.

I can't imagine my life without her, she is wonderful and everymoment I spend away from her I miss her like crazy. Where Are You From: Edmond, Oklahoma (Just north of Oklahoma City)

What Made You Decide To Buy A Yorkie: In 1988, our family wanted an inside dog. At that time we had a Lab & Siamese cat. I knew that I would be the one to have to clean up after inside dog so I wanted the smallest cutest puppy available. Talked husband into Yorkie for $350 which was just unheard of to pay that much for a pet! Mocha was a great pet - passed away at 15 1/2 in 2004. After ten months, we purchased another Yorkie! (Wish I could have found one for $350! !)

Have/Do You Have Any Other Pets: No. We want to add another puppy to raise alongside Kodah - we are considering either another Yorkie or maybe a Maltese. Have located a breeder who will have new litters of both the end of this month.

What Are Your Hobbies: Have always had a passion for photography. I love to take pictures & also love to look at others' pictures! Along those lines I have learned to "photoshop" on computer & usually print all of my own pictures. I love to jog everyday (except Sunday - my one day off!) - helps me stay in shape & clear my mind. Like to read & spend time with family! I'm the youngest (even though I will be 49 this summer) of 11 & most of my brothers & sisters live close. My mom, 87, is still in very good health & lives only a couple of miles away.

Are You Married: Yes, 28 years this June! We were highschool sweethearts!

Does Your Significant Other Love Yorkies As Much As You: Probably not, mainly because Mocha was such a "mama's dog"! He does have a soft heart for pets, though, & is excited about getting Kodah!

Do You Have Any Children: Three. Son will be 26 in a couple of weeks, graduated from Univ of OK & is a computer programmer; daughter just turned 24 & graduated last year - she was a cheerleader at OU for 2 years - looking to be a school teacher; and daughter, 20, is a sophomore at University of Central OK - she was an elite gymnast until 15 & traveled all across the US & even went to China on the US Women's Team! (Proud mom, huh ) They are all three sooooooo excited about getting Kodah even though they are all out of the house - girls share an apartment & son lives in Norman, OK. Our son was probably the closest to Mocha for 15 years! We always spend Sundays together at our house with their friends and the girls are in & out of the house during the week - they hope next Sunday to have Kodah joining us!

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: Lil Bear was given to my mom from a friend since at that point I "was" going to move to find a new job. Mom scared of big dogs and always wanted a yorkie. I am VERY allergic to dogs but always wanted one, so yorkie was one of the few dogs I could get.

Your Yorkie's name and ages: We don't have her yet, but her name will probably be Pixie.. it's the name that's winning right now. When we pick her up on April 12th, she'll be 13 wks old.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: I want a companion for my Maltese as well as for myself and didn't really want to get another Malt because the breeders out here aren't very good and I just wanted to vary things up. I heard so many wonderful things about Yorkies that I decided that was definitely the breed of dog for me.

Have/do you have any other pets: I have a Maltese male named Tuffy. He's 1 year and 2 months old and I love him to bits & pieces.

What are your hobbies?: I'm very into music, especially classical music. I'm addicted to the internet and just love electronic gadgets and computer stuff. I'm a voracious gamer too. I also love ebay and shopping and the girly things in life. My newest hobby is photography. I'm a total novice but I just love taking pictures of Tuffy, it's become a real passion.

And he just loves Tuffy.. he didn't at first because he thought he was too delicate and he was scared he'd hurt him, but Tuffy grew on him and now he loves him as much as I do. Little Tuffy has us wrapped around his little paw.
