| Occupation - beware! personal ? IF you would like to share... what do you do for a living? i'll go first.... currently, i'm unemployed - or i could say i'm a "homemaker" but i hate that word since i don't WANT to be a homemaker! lol. i love my kids, but being a stay at home mom is NOT for me - god bless those of you who do it! i went back to college after i had my first child (and while i was pregnant and then a mother to my second child). i was a full time student and worked part time at daycares/after school programs with the school system up until this past year. my degree is in early childhood development a.k.a i'm licensed to teach Pre-K through 3rd grade. my husband works for a landscaping company which also does snow removal/prep during the winter. what do you do? or -what did you do? ***advisory*** this is NOT mandatory! i just thought it would be fun to know! |

it can be very profitable and if i don't get a job out of the home soon then i will look into that further. the inquiries i've had were from people who don't want to put their children in daycares because of the low standards (as opposed to because of the high price) so they are williing to pay a pretty penny. i do love working with kids, but i'd rather work out of the home if i can. | |

YT 500 Club Member | I dont do anything intresting, just work in a factory that makes perts for some of the biggest car manufacturers. Eight hour of pure bordem a night but without it my dogs wouldn't be as spoilt as they are. I also care for my disabled mom. |

| I am the Sales Manager in an IT Company in the United Kingdom. I work a lot of hours... when I am sick at home - well guess what - I work remotely from home Have my laptop and IP phone set up but I am mostly in the office .... I personally cannot wait for when the time comes for me to be a full time mom I need a break from work.. or more like a permanent break from work and fully dedicated to be a terrorized mom (I bet you I will most likely have BOYS, and if they take after my husband, then it will be hard work for me hahahaha). I remember there being a similar thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...do-living.html

| I am the Head Teller at a local bank in our community. It is small (30 employees) with 3 branches all within a mile of each other. I have great hours and I love all my co-workers. Our company is family oriented and they like for us to put family first. I am lucky. I also help DH on our 160 acre farm which is a lot of hard work, because we both have full time jobs too. And of course take care of my furbabys. I also just recently started making doggie clothes (as if I didn't have enough to do) but it is fun and I love to sew and make them cute stuff and some extra's to sell.

| Looks as though I'm the only retiree so far. Now I'm a full time mom to the best fur-kids ever, and wife to a fantastic husband. I love this more than I ever like working outside the home. Now I can do all the things I only dreamed of doing.
