I am just now seeing this. I will be praying for your son and his pup, that they both make a speedy recovery. How traumatic for him and your entire family. You are all in my thoughts

Just now seeing this as well and this happened yesterday. I hope you
and your hubby arrived ok and your son and pup are doing well.
I am so sorry. Prayer's coming for both of them. I hope the worst is
over and they both have a complete recovery.

How horrible to have this happen by means of any breed. To the OP I am thinking of you and hope your Son is doing well and his puppy too.

This is my worst nightmare. I'm so sorry that it's actually happened to your family. My fingers are very firmly crossed that all wil be well. Big hugs.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers, we are in Chicago, we had to drive all night, but arrived a couple hours before my sons surgery...his left hand was damaged pretty bad but Dr.s feel he will have full use of his hand, it is just going to take some time, and some physical therapy...
Armani, had some surgery too, he is doing awesome! what a trooper!!! he is actually happy and prancing around! He is now at my soon to be daugherinlaws parents house, they have been awesome, to take on Armani, so we can be with my son....we went and visited him tonight, to give him some loving from my son.

I have to go back and read all the messages, I just wanted to hurry and write what was happening, this is first time I have been by a computer.

I have to say how PROUD I am of my son, he fought to save his puppy, and wouldnt give up till Armani was safe... without a thought for himself.

My son was walking out the door of his building and turned right and didnt see the pit coming around the corner, he attacked Armoni's jaw first and my son, jumped on top of the pit, the pit turned and latched onto my sons hand, my son went down then the pit turned and got Armani by the throat...my son was on him again, even though he was in terrible pain, the ppl that owned the pit were yelling at my son not to hurt THERE dog!!! a neighbor saw this and handed my son different kitchen untencils, through the door, to try and pry the pits mouth open, and the owner of the pit kept grabbing them and throwing them, finally they handed him a crowbar and he pryed his mouth open and he let go of the puppy, the neighbor grabbed Armani and pulled him into the building. Then my son still had the pit....the owner PUSHED my son off the pit, he fell over, and had no strength left and the pit came back at him, lunging at his face he put his arm up and the pit locked onto it..the owner finally got chain around the pit and got him off my son....THEN they left my son laying out in the street and LEFT!..the neighbors had called police and ambulance, they pulled my son into the building and locked the door and waited with him till ambulance got there...It was such a violent experience, it just breaks my heart...

Reason I was on the PC is because I live 700 miles away from my son (he is 30)..and I was going out of my mind sitting and waiting for my husband to get his UPS truck back to the hub and get home... I guess ppl do different things during stressful times, insrtead of calling ppl and upsetting them I came on here,to ppl I talk to on a regular basis, to help in saying prayers for my son...
I guess what I am saying is I am VERY offended in this post, I guess you must be a better parent than I am!

Wow, the owners of the pit sound completely irresponsible as dog owners. Who could just leave someone bleeding on the street?

How horrible for you son and Armani. I am happy to hear that they are both recovering well. Send them our well wishes.
